I haven't had fish sticks in years and years -- but I could probably have some one night as some sort of guilty pleasure food.
I mean let's be real, fish sticks is considered very low level food, however, I'm not completely opposed to low level guilty pleasures every once and a while. Like for instance I'll occasionally buy Totino's pizzas and those are about as low level as it gets as far as pizza goes, but I'll be damned if I don't actually secretly enjoy those for some reason.
Everyone has their guilty pleasures, though. Anthony Bourdain, who probably ate at more Michelin starred restaurants than anyone in history, reportedly ate fast food fried chicken once a week when he wasn't filming.

No, I can't stand fish sticks, but I do like actual deep fried fish like in fish and chips. And if it's really good fish I also like pan fried and stuff like that.
Best fish I've ever had by far was in Alaska, by the way. Alaska knows how to do fish right.

I saw a cool fish sticks riff with rolled flattened loaf wrapped around a lil section of fillet butter fried with lemon and some herbs.
Reminding me to do that.
