I'D for white lawn mushroom
    #26179780 - 09/10/19 01:56 PM (4 years, 6 months ago)

Found this in my backyard after a couple days of decent rain.

Seems to be some pinkish bruising on the gills

Tried too cut the cap off for a print (just started) and it broke apart, so kind of fragile

I think this is an immature specimine about a foot away.

Leucoagaricus could be a good match

My suspected leucoagaricus leucothites just started popping and the gills get pink like that too.

I kind of thought the giant cap would fold the gills and catch the spores on itself and it happened. But here's a pink spore print.

It almost looks like the spores germinated on the gills. It was pretty hydrated and I had it under a bowl. I think I'm go without the bowl on the newer one so it doesn't stay so wet.

I'm stumped. Maybe Chamaeota sp. but I can't find much info on this genus.

Southeast Idaho. There has been a lot of rain in the last week and I don't keep up on mowing, to my unintended delight. I love finding any mushrooms. The description of leucoagaricus leucothites like Phenotype suggested matches as far as the uneven egg shape of the immature mushroom. I saw another one popping up across the street at a church.

Here's an immature I picked up today I have been harvesting them yet to eat one as I have yet to get confirmation on Leucoagaricus Leucothites being the certain id although I'm pretty much 100% on them I still want more information on leucos Leucothities. Normally these aprts of the veil once it drops gets darker like brown.

Looks like leucoagaricus leucothites. They can have pinkish cream spores sometimes.

The gills always pinken when mature (most of the time anyways) however spores seem to always drop pure white.
