OK to use fruits from a half colonized BRF cake?

GT strain. The blue areas are OK, I believe it's just bruising.

The thing is, the mycelium didn't grow through the entire cake - about 1/3 of the substrate turned a little darker with sour smell and mycelium didn't grow there, neither did any fungi.
I think it was caused by bacteria.

What I did was I washed away this uncolonized substrate and used the colonized 2/3 of the cake, as you can see in the picture.

Do you think it is safe to use fruits from such BRF cake?

I don't think any mushroom from a contaminated cake could kill you because it didn't kill the mushroom it might make you sick but I've never had a problem.
