Re: A four year university study on WTC contradicts government narrative [Re: christopera]

It doesn’t change anything

But if it ever happens again, maybe we can have a thorough autopsy. Their findings will be peer reviewed and not secret.

Is that too much to ask?

I don't think it's too much to ask, and in fact it is the correct course of action.

That said, it probably wouldn't do much to stop the conspiracy theories. Just look at the Mueller Report.

I’d be happy to go over the Mueller report and how the DOJ guidelines are set up to not indict or accuse a sitting president of a crime

If you think that’s some sort of conspiracy theory you straight up have your head up your ass

Not sure what I said to indicate that I think the Mueller Report is a conspiracy? I was indicating that there are lots of conspiracy surrounding the report, which there are.

They didn’t. Even OP says it was NEARLY simultaneous. I think them all collapsing within 15 seconds is nearly simultaneous and that is what happened.

Is there anything exactly perfect in our imperfect world :strokebeard:

The rule of thumb is "three to one," that any single beam must bear three times its specified application load. Two thirds of all vertical support beams could be randomly removed and the building would stand. The "official" story is that one beam, bent by heat, slipped off its foot, and the whole thing came down.

Statistically impossible

One story falling onto another is certainly more than 3x the rated force for a column

I can't remember the film any more. Did the speed of the collapse accelerate as more floors fell on the others?

Im not a 9/11 conspiracist but this is just a dangerous thing to say lol. I guarentee i can find endless posts in your history talking about shit the US gov did farrr longer than 18 years ago. You think it has no effect on anything if less than 2 decades ago the government committed a devastating false flag attack that has completely changed the country? Cmon man lol.

Never in the history of building demolitions has a building been demoed after it was on fire all day .

Quote:
Maybe there was a truck bomb like at the fbi building? It’s just when you don’t do a thorough job it raises questions.

We all love our country that’s why we question things. We all want the best for our country and for all of you. It might not seem that way but I assure you that’s why we ask these questions

That’s all

Was the truck fireproof ? Maybe ? Just asking questions . Fireproof safes are rated for over a 1000 f because that’s how hot house fires get .

If you want  me to believe you ,  you can do s 6th grade science experiment .
Build a flimsy metal box , put a bunch of weight  on it , put any explosives/ thermite  you want to use in it , rig it with watever you want , set it on fire for 7 hrs , and then us know if your explosives work before the steel starts to sag from the heat .

Here's a brief article on A36 steel, the steel the trade centers were made out of (as are most steel structures).

It's well known that mild steel such as A36 doesn't perform well when heated. Bombs simply weren't needed. A36 is sort of a high end mild steel, but mild steel is basically the cheapest steel you can buy. A36 in structural form is case hardened, which means the areas/points at the largest moment of inertia (exterior/surface levels) are the hardest (good for overall strength) and as a result provide great wear resistance (not a factor in a building) while ductility of the internal structure if preserved (this is a good thing). Heat however quickly reduces ductility of A36, and it doesn't take much heat to significantly reduce it's strength, as a result the buildings fell rather quickly. In the article they state something like a 70% loss of strength from 400f to 1100f. From memory, the melting point of A36 is like 2000F. So assuming some fireproofing was damaged as a result of a plane crashing into it, and some was simply burnt during the fires, it's not far fetched at all that the steel lost strength and collapsed. Material science is a fickle beast. I'm confident there aren't too many buildings that could withstand the impact of a 767. A 767 can carry something like 24,000 gallons of fuel by the way, that's approximately 160,000 lbs of fuel at take off.

In your research are many buildings made with this steel and has anything been done since 9/11 to keep this steel out of high rises? Also are there any new regulations that would keep this from happening again?

The existing high rise buildings that have this steel should probably be shut down before these buildings catch fire and collapse killing thousands.

That would be a good start.

No, because there's no engineering consideration for terrorist attacks, not for civilian structures anyways.

I was speaking towards the larger conspiracy, but fire still took down 7. So the same principles apply, bar that of the plane crash and potential jet fuel. That said, 7 was damaged by the collapse of the North Tower, so there's definitely some hard to predict/understand consequences to deal with there.

Just to be clear, I've not researched anything directly related to the WTC collapses. I have a professional background in engineering, so I'm just applying what I know, mostly for the sake avoiding work.

As I stated earlier, steel structures require fire proofing. That comes in many formats. There are many building and fire codes that apply.

I would argue that the plane crash and jet fuel were pretty crucial to the argument there, and the removal of those factors dramatically changes the situation

As you might imagine would be the case in a complex as large as the original World Trade Center, multiple different grades of steel were used in construction -- 12, in fact. These grades began at a very common type of steel known as A36, which has a yield strength of 36ksi (or kilopounds per square inch), and got progressively stronger -- all the way up to steels that had yield strengths of 100ksi [source: FEMA].

From an engineering perspective you'd be wrong. Buildings aren't built to deal with other buildings falling on them...
