I've decided to go with the ultrasonic setup from the pftek my question is: where does the tube from the last of the coke bottles enter the terrarium? should it enter the top, side (high, low) or bottom. I know the pftek mentioned that the hole in the terrarium for CO2 release should be at the bottom - is this where the humidifier tube should enter?? thanks oh yeah, and how do I know for sure when my jars are fully colonized?...I know it must be getting close....

I use both a cool mist and a ultrasonic in my set up. I've found no need to use the bottles for either humidifier. I've found that a small bit of moisture from the ultrasonic doesn't hurt a thing.

Nope, done from spore.
The strain was SA Substrate was rye. Casing material top and bottom 75% coir, 25% verm. Average time is 4 to 5 weeks from spore to harvest.

Personally, i would use a cool mist if you're using a rubber maid type container, due to the fact that with a cool mist, it provides very very good air exchange, no need for fanning, also it provides enough humidity for casings, if you're coing cakes, you may want to add a bit more humidity than whats provided by the cool mist, if you're going that rout...
Here are some pics of both setups i have going on , one of which runs an ultrasonic, the other is a cool mist steup
This pic here is the cool mist setup
This pic is the ultrasonic
As you can see i have mine running though a 5 gallon water jug, IMO works really nice, collects mad condensation inside the jug, and none inside the terrarium while maintaining very high humidity.
Hope this helps you some

Hey Piper, that bottom pic is a nice one of your set up so I made it a little brighter to see it in more detail. Hope you don't mind
