Do/did you like them? If you've done more than one did you like one more than the other?

Did uber eats for a while. It was alright but if youre not getting steady orders, just sitting around waiting for the next one its not worth it. Even then I quit doing it because donating plasma took at most 3 hours a week and was still 100+ untaxed dollars in my pocket.

My name is Pumpjack.
Not a Pump Jack.
Two totally different things.
A Pumpjack would have added another 10-50 tons to the load.

I work in an office where a lot of people order from these services frequently. One thing I hear a lot from everybody is âI donât tipâ when referring to Uber eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, etc. Sometimes I wonder why people are so open about their shitty tipping, or why they feel a waiter who walks across a restaurant to bring you food is deserving of 15-20% but a doordash driver putting wear and tear and miles on his own car doesnât deserve a tip. kinda fucked up.

Yeah.
If you tip me $5 on the app I will get paid $5.50 total.
If you pay me $5 cash door dash still pays me $5.50 min. So I would get $10.50
If you tip me $1 cash I get paid more than a $5 tip on the app.
DoorDash fucks us. The customers fuck us. I'm kinda used to getting fucked now.
I do it to ride my Ebike around.
It's a horror story doing it in a car.
I burned up my transmission in my Honda doing it.

Want a cookie? Two very different professions with their own pitfalls and advantages. I respect truck drivers, especially owner operators. Same with mail carriers. If you were a decent person, you would respect a high volume full time delivery driver too. Both are dangerous professions that do not get the respect or understanding that they deserve.

I've driven for a couple years when needed. If you drive in/around busy areas (beach boardwalks, city centers, high traffic residential and/or college areas) you'll find more deliveries, however, earnings do fluctuate greatly anywhere you are. Competition is high. 8hrs on a sat could be anywhere from $80-$150 IN BUSY AREAS depending on tips. Slow areas $20- $50 maybe. [After your initial promotion] Uber keeps decreasing the earnings & for a while has been altering tip structure which steadily which lowers your income and increases your frustration. I once delivered a guy a pizza on a sat night, trip was $8, yet, he tipped $35 saying i was the fastest delivery driver he'd ever had. Now, tips are capped n controlled. Truly bs. I do deeply appreciate the option to "cash out" whenever you need which is extremely convenient in a pinch. Not many other companies have this option. I only drive w uber when i need $ for necessities since earnings decreased so much. Even w a 9.6 rating My $250 bonuses went to $30, along w many of my friends who are feeling same problems w driving people too. Cashing out immediately and choosing your own hours are why i do it. The customer service reps are not the sweetest peeps so be calm and prepared as they will do their best to make it seem like it's your fault in order to not pay you for whatever issue u need fixed. if u haven't started yet do your research for initial promotions to find which works best in your schedule. They can be very lucrative. Postmates uber grubhub all have them. Every driver will offer you theirs for referral benefits but check the fine print on each first. The $ might look nice but it may not be plausible for you depending how much time you plan to drive. Lastly, I have a friend who did Postmates and grubhub, we both had our issues with people who don't tip, we were just wondering if we received everything that was tipped. Cash tips are always preferred for sure, you keep 100%. Track everything (gas, mileage, repairs, etc. expenses) for your records, you will LOVE yourself later. PS...I do have to say, every time I log in I feel like I'm doing something shady, working for someone lacking integrity. W my experience driving it's hard to believe that Uber is "fair" to their drivers, track everything. I'd be down at least several hundred $, maybe more, for not catching their "mistakes." Who knows how much I've missed. Ugh... Be safe out there!! My bad about the long message âŁâ

I made $140 today. I started around 10:00a.m. & road 20 miles to a gluten free donut shop around 2pm.
