No worries boogie your my homie. I was thnking the same thing, and figured as long as it held for 2hrs i'd be golden.

I prolly am producing clean grain jars, but i thnk my scope of things has shifted a bit. Shit, i might even change my handle. All of a sudden i feel like there is a procedure for a reason, ya knw. Im thnking all these dudes are trying to help me and why the hell wud they lead me astray. Not that i thought that b4, idk, jst diff now.

The sandwich and hot pour shit is pretty interesting. So the myc basically out-runs the other shit? Pretty cool. That may actually come in handy at some point.

Edit: I jst made grain soak agar - 600g water / 10g grain soak / 10g telephone agar.
Im trying to find my recipe so i been trying all kinda shit, but while i got yall here, does that recipe sound correct to you? I have always used half that much agar without any issues, so that felt odd. And i have no reference to how nutrient rich my grain soak is. Somewhere around 0.5g grain soak to 100g water maybe?

Also, i fired up the PC as explained aside from watching steam piss out the vent tube for ten min. I watched it up till about 3 psi / 5 min, then set the weight on. Felt pretty confident at that point that any signifigant amount of hot dry air had been expelled. Also, letting it build pressure on its own like this took no more time than dicking with the popup valve. Leaving the weight off for 5 min im certain did some good.

I guess the only reason why i didnt wait the full 10min wat cuz i git spooked that the PC might run dry. There aint a whole lotta water left in there after an hour or two, even with the way i been doing it. Shit maybe im wrong, maybe 5min is not enough.

Do you weigh your weight with quarters ? I glue 3 on mine and use hardly any water I cook at 17 to 18 for 2 hours

Nah no pennies. Kinda rides a couple knotches above 15psi as is.

I cud understand how even after watching the air/steam blast out for 5min there may still be some volume of air that is not steam laden. I was jst worried about running out of agua. Ive done it one before when i had to tighten the popup valve after like 20min. Didnt add any more water, fired it back up, when it was all done it was damn near out of water.

Wat about my grain soak agar recipe...that sound right to you?

I havent ever used grain water I only ever use mea..

Here the PE and RW plates i transferred to like 3 days ago.
One of the PE is on blue PDA as a sort of reference:

When i see the pros plates dont none of them look like my mine.
Prolly cuz i do not spend a lot of time selecting particular growth and making assloads of transfers. Since it cud be either rhyzo or tormentose i dnt see how it wud necessarily matter unless to avoid my current situation of "wtf am i looking at?"

LGT-a tubs are doing all kinda odd shit, but that doesnt bother me cuz they still pumpin'. Tormato re-briefed me on clone selection and im thnking i took from a second flush boomer cuz these all came out short. And we established beyond a reasonable doubt that it aint an FAE or over field capacity issue...unless this particular culture likes it dry i suppose:

Ok so i thnk wats going on here is my plate mix was far too nutrient dense. I very much doubt that i have some cohabitating myc or something, though im certain it's possible. I took that pic with the glare so you cud see the wicked halo she's spitting out:


See my RW master plate looks pretty much like it always has.
Took a nice RW clone, put it on a new batch of plates with a more appropriate nutrient content and it looks pretty much like it shud:

Contams have gotten fucking rampid in my shit. I had to toss a bunch of master jars and few grand masters that came from plate. My sterile technique got sloppy for a bit. Ive seen contams, some what docile but numerous, pop up on sealed plates two wks after i poured. So im waiting on this new batch of plates before i start dickin with them.

Shes doing pretty good now.
Took like 5 tissue samples from that big bastard. Not the gnarliest pinset but evenly distributed.

Havent been taking pics but sweet lady trich has been running amuck with my sit. Been watching my plates are jars like a hawk. Toss anything green or heavily bacterial. Lightly bacterial goes to 6qt shoebox. Found a lot of hitchikers in my shit.

Got new plates, they're badass. Bout $20 extra that i normally go for, but i pay for quality all day long. Got a fat bag of some malt extract. Jst made new plates today. Gotta wait for them to clear quarentine.

Made my peace with grain soak agar. The last plates i made came out nutrient correct. Seem to be doing great.

Got a lot of genetics to work with. Gonna start T1's off nice APE and PEUW plates. Also gotta germ some RW spores and hopefully get actual RWs this time instead of PurpleWhytes.
