So, I'm trying to make sense of the OP here. Are you suggesting that a drug addict should replace the use of, say, heroin, with LSD?

The problem with addiction is that one will usually just replace one substance with another... especially in the case of cannabis. I find cannabis advocates really try to downplay the potential of cannabis to be addictive - but it can be very addicting for some people.

I think, much more realistically, if someone really wants to get over an addiction, they should have one, intense psychedelic experience where they confront why they're using whatever substance they're using to excess. It will, hopefully, get them to think about the underlying issues behind the drug abuse and not just the abuse itself.

I've heard ibogaine is especially good for this. But replacing heroin with cannabis? I don't think that's a great idea, personally.

I tried to switch smoking Cannabis and drinking alcohol to being sober...
And it worked out quite well... Didn't it, Mates? :lol:
