Paul Stamets blue juice/blue ice “cubes” pics and trip report

Well listening to a Paul Stamets lecture he mentions using a cold extraction buy chopping fresh mushrooms mixing with ice then putting the ice jar in the fridge to melt leaving a blue juice as he calls it saying it’s perfect for burning man.. I couldn’t find a tek or even a thread for this so I just did as was  described in the video it’s in the fridge now..

My reason for posting is that I was wondering if anyone on here has used this method and how it compared with others like tea or alcohol extractions. As for as your experience..

Ice took a bit to melt on the top shelf so I moved it to low on the door will drink it this evening it’s looking blue for sure .. I was thinking I’d Poor off as much as I can Gently to prevent to much oxidation then strain the rest through a coffee filter.. he’s mentioned it a couple times I believe he talked about turning it into ice cubes as well in one interview so if I have enough I’ll try that too for another day..

Some kid wanted to "get" Me some of that but was brown instead of blue.
Said it was some psilocybin extract or mixture.

I refused. 'buncha of noobs that surround My aura back in the day.

So made a tray of ice “cubes” and have about a quarter left in the jar came out really blue will be tripping tonight Gonna split it in half with gf I’ll post some pics when she’s back to I don’t have imager on my phone just gonna see where this takes me tonight I didn’t weigh anything this time was just stoned and feeling experimental last night but if this is at least on par with tea I’ll do another batch and make a tek for it so others can try if they would like ..

Also any suggestions on what drink I should put the blue ice “cubes” in?

Yeah I think the blue ice cubes in the oj would look cool too .. I’ll post pics when the gf is here also weighed the remains after squeezing cane out to 98 grams mostly all stems and some bigger aborts..

9pm Cheers! Me and the gf split the tray of ice cubes and I drank the rest of the jar.
The taste is very subtle Just a hint of mushroom in the oj actually kinda makes it a little sweeter as it melts..

Anyone following care to suggest some tunes or movies/shows?

Very good I’d say same as tea as far as strength very euphoric at dry weight around 9 grams and split it with gf so around 4 grams and that’s about how it felt 3-4 grams dry I’ll do a proper tek soon just so it’s out there can’t believe this isn’t more popular I mean it’s Paul Stamets the guy knows what he’s talking about but I guess you do have to have fresh mushrooms not so common maybe that’s why ..

Agree. This is interesting for sure..

Could i take dry product and rehydate it in ice cold tap water first?

ex. 10 grams in a jar, cover it with cold tap water and leave it til it's hydrated. Top off the jar with som ice cubes and let that melt in the fridge.
When its melted i could simply strain the cold extracted liquid and pour it in som icecube bags/trays?

When i want some shrooms i could just take a glass of OJ and put in the amount of icecubes i want. Ice cubes melts fast ime. Will this work?

I have absolutely no experience with shrooms, but i am Very interested. Especially in extracts.

It sounds like cold extraction is an efficiant way to get out the good stuff. Am i right? Having ready to go frozen shroom juice in the freezer sounds like a really great way to store long term as well.

I tried this awhile back with ~100g of wet goodies.

Didn't seem to work at all. Especially in comparison to making a tea with the same quantity of goods from the same flush.

Perhaps my ice cubes were not cooperating.

I didn’t have a problem with it but maybe I just got lucky idk was just an idea and I had more then enough to try but tea is much easier and pretty much guaranteed to work so most definitely the superior tek just nice to try something new ..

I just heard of this method watching a lecture from stamets, I decided to give it a try, and to actually dilute it for micro dose purposes.

I’ve take  54g of fresh product and set it on a tray and a half of ice cubes in a Plastic container. When it is all thawed into water, I will strain the product and top off the “blue juice” with fresh water to 54ounces so that I can estimate the liquid to be an even 1g/1oz ratio. And since they are fresh and loose 90% weight when dried, is it safe to assume I have “0.1g dry weight”/1oz juice ratio?”

I do not planning to make ice cubes out of them, and instead freeze 5oz portions to thaw as I need them, drinking an Oz every other day or so. Will see how I feel after the first shot and see where I want to go with it.



Anyone microdosing out there??

talk about tough getting that down...

about an oz of fresh in about a quart of oj....

I tried this previously with a few hundred grams of fresh mushroom.

Didn't seem to do anything.
