LSD-lite was my only real comparison to make. Tea just put it into a different experience compared to my experiences with cubes. It's like the perfect aperitif; it's pleasing and of substance, but leaves you hungry for more. I can understand the notion to re-dose. I made my tea with 25g fresh.

I’ve gone both ways but prefer to let it work its way into the casing.  I like to add sand to the casings as tamps/stone producers seem to produce a better pin set in my tests with it in the mix.  See:

Sand Casing Project

Tamp Grow with Mycolorado

So I added a coir 'casing' but that just got fully colonised.  Its been in the fc for a week and hasnt pinned yet.  Is there a case for (late) casing if I can find some jiffy mix in the UK?

Why do you use garden lime as opposed to builders lime?

It’s all I had.  I use crushed oyster shells now.  Neither are fast acting so it’s prolly not even very effective.  Try some sand in the casing.  What are your conditions?

Its sat in a mono with cubensis shoes either side.  Its a decent room temp and im about to start misting twice a day.  Humidity looks decent but it could prolly do with more FAE.  I have 10 other jars colonising atm so I can experiment a little later on.  This is just to get a feel.

Some cultures can be stubborn/poor fruiters.  Stone producers tend to fruit on potato based agar IME which is helpful in culture selection.  You might make some pda to see if you can select for fruiting cultures.  Can you post up some pics of what it’s looking like?

Looks ok.  They really like FAE...a different fruiting approach that provides more air might help.

I've read that truffle potency is best fresh.

You'd think it wouldn't matter...I never really noticed a difference when I grew stones.

The last project funked ut but I have round 2 and round 3 going.  Round 2 was a clean looking, cucumbery smelling culture that I spawned to coir.

Round 3 was a spectacular looking culture on agar im hoping for good things with.

This was it when it was young

Before it went to grains it looked beautiful.  I have a few back ups too.
