Do you consolidate at all when colonising?  Its nearly there.

Do you case and colonise again till the casing is 30-40% colonised?

Gotcha, I don't really recognize a difference in conditions besides the casing itself. The only thing I change at any point is lids secured vs flipped and either way is fine with a proper casing.

Have you grown sclerotia successfully without colonising and fruiting conditions?  Just putting them st8n into fruiting conditions I mean?

I’ve gone both ways but prefer to let it work its way into the casing.  I like to add sand to the casings as tamps/stone producers seem to produce a better pin set in my tests with it in the mix.  See:

You’ll get much better fruit if you up the FAE from the time they start fruiting.

More FAE, so lids flipped all day. Makes sense cause that's what the casings for. I see. I didn't flip mine initially.

They're just a lil pint in a SB. First run at em and I almost thought they were no good before I cased em as I misunderstood the difference in colonization appearance.

OP your stones you posted were huge in comparison to the ones pocketed throughout my pints. I was just blundering my way through this alongside. Got 4 SB on track with yours.

I made fresh Tamp Tea today for Fri 13th. My first Tamps and first Tea. Boiled em for 15min in .5L then strained with a coffee filter. Add a bit of this Korean honey lemon tea jelly stuff and stir. Nice n easy. Got heavy at 20min deep. Real melty at the peak. Over in 3hr.
