Shroomery Homebrewers

So this year I’ve looked into and started doing some home brewing. I started with an ale kit and I made a batch of Ribena Turbo Cider.
Just done my Beer and going to leave it for a few weeks to clear etc before I give it a taste test. Kinda tempted to do another batch of Cider before the Summers out.
Anyone else Brew and what have you made?

I do an extract beer kit once in a while, usually hard-hitting ones like a tripel or IPA. In fact I have a tripel kit I just pulled out, but I think the yeast is expired. It's been on a shelf for two years and the yeast three. Smacked it a couple days ago and the envelope hasn't swelled yet.
I've also made apfelwein. It's fairly cheap and easy, but jeez it's like bum wine. It gets you trashed unexpectedly quick and the hangover is legendary.
Mead is something I want to try.

Finally tried some of my Beer the other day and I’m dead impressed. It’s about 4.6 abv but it’s not half bad 😉

To reiterate what others are saying, mead is easy. Originally I was making it out of grocery store honey, but some bees inspired me to buy local honey, that came out really good!
Its also good for infusions. Decarbing weed, then heating it in honey for a couple hours, add water to boil it, then fermenting it all without straining the weed out. Strain it out before drinking it. Some weeds taste super good this way, some do not.

How much physical space does home brewing take up?

It doesn't take up that much space. Most of the 5 gallon starter equipment kits (See for an example https://www.morebeer.com/products/home-brewing-kit.html) that have all the equipment you need are the size of a 6 gallon bucket and everything can fit in there. Add a 5-8 gallon boil kettle.

No clue. There's different brands and some taste good some don't. The bad shit is torula it seems. The good stuff like braggs brand idk what species it is.
It's assuredly grown in liquid culture then flocculated. Then that's drawn off and either pressed, filtered, or centrifuged or a combination of those to get it dry and ready to pack. They may also bake it to add savory flavor but i really don't know the specifics of the process. If they're using cerevisiae that's easy to grow in a propagator

Oh, thats kind of sad. I know cervisiae is used, dont know which strain, and will never know of course. And also that is grown in molasses media. Wheat based nutritional yeast tastes horrible. (clearly liquid cultures are used) then the yeast that form on the top is extracted, centrifuged? And then drum rolled.
But dont know the specifics or which instruments are required...
Here in Argentina its pretty expensive shit at about 10 dollars for 200grams so i am considering producing it and comercializing it

I second this. Spent 6 years homebrewing like a maniac till i landed a gig at a brewery. BIAB is the way to go.
In regards to how much space it takes up. You can geek out big time. Get a freezer, mod it out for temp control, etc. I prefer to make my second room dedicated to myc rather than yeast. I brew enough at work.
