The toc can shoot of short stubbier. But generally the tyc is taller and lighter colored. Faster on grain and plates. The toc will have very meaty caps with pointy nipples. I’d say tyc. Could have been a timing thing. Sometimes they pin faster than you can spawn the spawn.

Yeah I don’t find that it matters much. Soon enough to break up chunks to grow more.

So do you have any issues with keeping LC around for x amount of time the same way you would have an issue with agar plates having a shelf life?

Ive noticed in my agar plates, if you dont pour enough agar on the bottom, the myc seems to eat up the agar and almost turn into a thin plastic film with myc attached to it (in addition to changing the color of the agar, prob from uptaking whatever nutes are in the dish)...  Or will the LC just get thicker and thicker as it continues to inoculate the liquid?

At what point does the LC become usable? Like after a week or so?  Does it become more potent as time goes on, like 5cc of thick month old LC would be equivalent to 10cc of 2 week old LC?

I have to play as my MMV, I suspect I'll be using a LOT less sugar dense LC from now on.
