Officials in Washington state have opened an investigation after employees at three Safeway stores reported finding over $1 million worth of cocaine that was hidden in boxes of bananas.

The contraband was first reported at a Safeway in Woodinville, about 20 miles northeast of Seattle, on Sunday, the King County Sheriff’s Office said.

Employees were opening a box of bananas and found 22 kilos of cocaine – the equivalent of over $550,000, according to investigators.

Later that day, employees at a Safeway in Bellingham – in northwestern Washington, near the Canadian border – found about 23 kilos of cocaine while unloading banana shipments, Q13 Fox reported.

You see shit like this pretty regularly over the years...it never explains how it happened, like did a shipment go somewhere it wasn't supposed to? Because no one is putting millions of dollars of cocaine into boxes to be shipped off without knowing exactly where they are going or having some degree of control of them afterwards.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but after seeing this sooooooo many times with absolutely zero explanation of how it happens(or much investigation into why it happens) I am pretty much sold that this is the DEA staging shit to trick the media into spreading propaganda for them and stirring up the population to drum up support for its mission by tricking the populous into thinking that they are needed.

Cocaine obtained from illegal means? Like money laundering just repack and send it somewhere to legitimately confiscate it.

Possibly, but I am thinking more like tricking the population into thinking the drug scourge is everywhere, anywhere, and a HUGE problem...that they need unlimited resources, freedom, and power to fight in any way that deem fit.

It could be meant as a distraction to allow another larger shipment... Or payment essentially to allow a larger shipment. Easier to believe then those who shipped it made a mistake.
