It was fresh roasted corn with a small can if creamed corn added. Roasted red bell pepper, garlic, lime juice, pepper/cumin/coriander, cilantro and jalapeno.

Usually 2 or 3, if entertaining my house doesn't really do more then 6 well.

Used to cook for 8 pretty regularly at the old house.  More then that and it's work not fun lol.

That BlackBerry balsamic reduction with rosemary was pretty darn pleasant.

Veggie spicy bbq burger, potato salad,  greens

Tropical fruit salad

Prosecco pancakes (so good)

a nice pot of harissa-spiced black lentil stew with lots of veggies from a local farm (jalapeño, zucchini, leek scapes, kale, carrot). it's autumn-in-august here, for sure

Tofu comes in a variety of density and moisture content.  Also you can sear or fry it for more texture.

It can be like gum if not handled properly.

tofu is incredibly versatile and is created in different textures - silken, firm, extra firm - all of which can be deep-fried, stewed, baked, dried, crumbled, pureed in a slew of ways... it's history goes back thousands of years to china. the fresher the tofu, the better : )  the tofu in the dish I posted was purchased as a fried firm tofu from a local tofu maker in seattle from an asian supermarket, then in my freezer (since I was bringing it up to alaska), and crisped up cubed in my oven.

Anniversary dinner with New York strip, lobster tail,  roasted asparagus,  potato spears,  and a shallot, mushroom,  balsamic red wine sauce.  Little breakfast burrito with tater tots and Mexican style.

Did a garden margarita with zucchini,  cilantro,  and serrano.

Also a honey gin blueberry sour with egg white.

Im running a bar again so getting to have some fun with drinks so that will probably be popping up more here.
