APE not quite blobs but weird fat and short!

This is my 1st attempt at APE strain fellas.
I am on the first flush.

I only picked 2 so far, I'm not sure if they are done. they are very fat and short, about 1-1.5"high. stems still very round, and it has been this way for almost a week.

Also the caps seem to be opening and I can see some of the gills. Is this also common like the blobs on first flushes?  Should I just pick them?

I think I should go with a casing layer next run, as I am in hot, dry climate.

will put some photos up soon. I think this flush is just fat and short.

I was considering they may still be growing since they are known to take longer, but its been a week now. I dont think they are going to get larger

Those are fun as fuck lookin! I would suspect an overhydrated sub. That's usually the case for stout first flushes with cubes. Got any sauce for them nuggets?

so if the rest of the APE in my tub look like these 2, then they are ready to pick right? I dont think it was overhydrated. but im glad they didnt come out as blobs, just super short and fat, about 1-1.5" Tall.

I Guess I'll harvest these since the caps are opening, I wonder if potency will be affected?

Hopefully the 2nd flush will be larger. Is there anything I could do to make sure it comes out larger next flush?

I just added a casing layer as I live in a dry area and noticed half my subs were getting dry.  I think it could have been lack of moisture vs too much moisture causing them to be short.

Im also adding a humidity controller, about what humidity levels should I keep the grow room at? 60-65% humidity ok?

My other PE Tubs are looking decent though. no short fatties, We have a few monsters sprouting. APE/PE is definitely slower pinning against any other strains Ive attempted.

There ready when they start getting a little squishy. Be careful if u haven’t tried apes before those fuckers will send you flying

yea theyve been super short and not growing for a week now. Im assuming its time to harvest. I will definitely be careful half the normal dose with these to be safe.
