I would like to change grains and switch to corn: how do I prepare it?
    #26143962 -

I always looking to improve my work and i'd like to try to use corn.
Where i live is cheap.
How do i prepare it?

Right now i am using sorghum and i tried many different ways: the one i prefere is rinse, soak 24 hours, boil 10 minutes , dry it.
I see pretty important soak for 24 h because it get very hydrated without brokening .
FOR CORN?
thank.

I'm not sure about corn. But I would suggest rye berries! If you want to improve your work I believe rye berries are the way to go!!! Fucking love those things.

Just giving my two cents brotha.

Corn is so large and hard it could probably handle heat. Everyone has their own methods, but apparently foomans boil water and dump it onto the grain and let soak for an hour or so works for all grains. Just adjust based on your observations. Not all corn is the same as the rest and so yours will be different from everyone elses

Corn works great.

Simmer in excess water till the kernels are saturated (30-60 minutes) and you can break them in half without seeing a lighter colored bit in the center. they should be fully saturated. Some types burst a little and some don't. Haven't seen any problems with burst corn. Draining is super easy as well. Corn when done well colonizes extremely fast.
