SSRI drugs and trouble with orgasm

Hello folks,
I've been taking lithium and seroquel for bipolar disorder.  Unfortunately, my "stable" mood is one of very wicked depression, so my doctor suggested trying to take Zoloft along with it.  It can be dangerous, giving a bipolar person an SSRI, but it seems to be going ok so far. I think the lithium prevents going manic from it.

In any case, I started seeing someone and we've been romantically involved for about 2 months.  My "performance" seems to be working ok.  And I'm very much into her, and feel comfortable and attracted to her.  But I'm having issues with "completion".  I'm almost certain this is an SSRI side effect.

Anyone have experience in this area?  Sometimes it works, often times it just doesn't.  Which, well, shit, is pretty depressing! 

Finally meet a nice, cool girl and then this shit!

I can’t remember which medicine it was but an antidepressant made it completely impossible for me to orgasm back years ago.

do you remember if it goes away after the "adjustment"? Or is that just how it is?  If so, I need to find something else.  Bloody hell--the one thing in my life that would bring me immense pleasure, now works only like 30% of the time!

Go without release longer.  Save up that seed.  Ssri can do odd things.  Like super horny, great gasisms, and big loads to yellow booger like ejaculate.

I get invega shots and sometimes I have zero ejaculate.  Going without and being n the right mood can increase pleasure and release.  But it's not plessure and thick loads 4 times a day like off meds.

I do recall off meds sometimes gping a long time without sorta made me too sensative.  There can be some relief oh meds not needing as much.  But yes it can feel isolating.

Being able to fuck for hours is not really the worst thing in the world.

Orgasms are over-rated. I've had a similar problem, I quite enjoyed fucking a girl until she's exhausted and still having sexual energy afterward. Watching a girl pass the fuck out after 2 hour sex makes me feel like a superhero

ha, indeed.  She commented that I reminded her of that scene in Revenge of the Nerds, where the nerd got with the hot chick. She was surprised that a nerd could perform like that (I'm a phd chemist by training).  The nerd said something like "when the jocks are thinking about football, the nerds are thinking about pussy"  :-)

I know of some herbs that help me.  Not sure about ssri interactions or aide.

Cordyceps is called Himalayan viagra.  Known to increase ejaculate loads in pigs.  Decreased blood pressure.  I habe noticed sperm loads increase at times, depends on a lot of variabels.  Tactile sensations get better when comfy and having been celeb for awhile.  Mood is variable as a control.

I take a cordyceps blend that also has reishi and another fungi.  This is a good belnd for me as it's not too much sperm and not too little mood nor too much mood.  I do not always take it.

Some folks report effects from ginseng.  I also habe a ginseng blend but I drink coffee and that's a bit speedy.

Bacopa also has some affects and is mild.  Also good for meditation and reducing cognitive degeneration from psychosis.  I take this a bit more rarely and reports so it fights cognitive decline better after time of daily usage.  I find meditation is good enough for me alone most of the time.

I do not recommend rhodolia on an ssri or if someone has mental issues.  It is very powerful, more powerful than likely anyone not Russian knows.  Also known to aide sex and given to russian newly weds to promote sex.  As well as historically being prescribed to soviet elites.

It's a common side effect from the drugs you're taking. The only thing that really works is just to stop taking them (which you shouldn't do). If you stop it'll go back to normal.

Your girlfriend is probably enjoying it anyway. It's not exactly the worst problem in the world to have.

It's a difficult thing.  I don't like the idea either.  But my "stable" mood (from lithium), tends to be very dark and depressive.  I was hoping an SSRI, combined with a mood stabilizer, would help depression.  And I feel like it might be helping the depression.  But with some weird side effects. Sexual side effects, sleep issues....

I don't know. I'll give it a couple weeks, and make a decision.  Trying to treat this is getting progressively worse with age.

SSRI's give me really long, complicated, strange nightmares. I had one where I was trapped in a dream within a dream, but I thought the original dream was reality and I was in a coma trying to escape from the second dream. It also makes me fuckin miserable when I'm sleepy. I need literally 8 hours or I'm a fuckin asshole by the time the day is over

Ssri after effects can last longer than two weeks.  Drugs change the brain and surely somethings will never be the same.  Some folks cannot live without ssri.  Others go nutty.  I do wonder how many mass shooters were on ssri.  Seems that it may be less now than used to be.

There used to be a number of books with ssri horror stories.

Ooh I had another one where I was a detective investigating a series of weird locked-room murders. In each case it seemed impossible for someone to have left the room the way the bodies were found. I eventually figured out that it was an illness that made you lose your mind and commit suicide, and I was trying to warn my department before I went insane. Woke up before either happened though.

I legit think that would be a good movie
