Portland: Proud Boys vs. ANTIFA
    #26140531 -

The Proud Boys are representing the right-wing, ANTIFA on the left-wing. They faced off in Portland on August 16th.

A peaceful, non-eventful battle ensued. But what if it was violent? What would happen? What alt-party would win?

If the proud boys got lined up against a wall and shot, I'd be cheering.

Sucks for the coroner that's gotta deal with all the butt plugs though.

I don't know why anyone would wish harm to people in either group.

It wasn’t that peaceful. Some antifa got attacked by a neo-Nazi with a hammer

It wasn't nonviolent. It just wasn't as violent as it could have been, probably because the police were well prepared for the right wing rally and the counter protesters. There were a lot of fights that resulted in 13 arrests and 6 injuries.

That's pure rhetoric. Trump is so dumb, or pretends he is for the sake of his base, that he doesn't know Antifa is not an organization.

Trump isn't the only one making this suggestion.

The Senate is Republican. The House isn't. It's not going to happen and Antifa is not an organization. Some Southern states might do it. And then liberal states will make right wing organizations domestic terrorists.

Oh shit, they being labelled. They got a little too extreme out there. Will the Proud Boys follow suit too? Or will they be the more peaceful crowd.

The Proud Boys have never been peaceful. This is their current leader (Joe Biggs):

Note: The phrase “Death to Antifa!,” was also screamed by Jeremy Christian, the Alt-Right serial murderer and Patriot Prayer rally attendee who killed two people and seriously injured a third on a Portland train in 2017.

Joe Biggs even got a visit from the FBI because of all the violent rhetoric preceding the August 17th march. Violent rhetoric like this:

Alternative headline? Portland: bussed-in fascist street gangs confronted by antifascist community

I don't think so. I think labeling Antifa, a loose conglomerate of like minded groups with no organizational structure, as a terrorist organization has a very distinct purpose: criminalizing dissent.

As there is no official membership, anybody can be antifa. I could be antifa, you could be antifa, plumber's crack Joe can be antifa. It's a looser version of McCarthyism--an accusation is enough to end up with you in gitmo and will likely be used as a threat to keep people in line.

Self defense.

Preemptive violence against innocent people you disagree with isn't "Self defense".

It's not preemptive. The Proud Boys have a demonstrated history of violence. They tried setting up a sniper nest at one of their riots already.

By peaceful you mean ANTIFA violently attacking innocent bystanders after the Proud Boys left?

Peaceful bystanders? Do you have any evidence to support the claim?

Antifa also demonstrated a horrible history of violence against innocent people, does that justify preemptive violence against any of their members?  NO.
