I think I'd rather opt to have too many holes and tape over them if needed. The thought of having to drill a hole in a tub while I had my babies growing inside worries me

There ain´t no one for all solution.
If you´re in dry climate/environment,
you´d either want to cover some holes,
or you´d have to mist a few times more than usual.

Also depends on the tub, if it has a wobbly seal,
there won´t be the need for the upper holes.

That´s something i´d clear out before making holes in tubs
