My First Time [100% Contam]

Transfer: Agar to Grain
Spawn: Oats (Bod's Easy AF Oat Prep TEK)
Used SAB to innoc

So I was about to put this to a mini monotun but I just saw this.

Looks like pin mold? Or black mold? Sporophores?



Can someone confirm.

Also is there a way to prevent this? Seemed to have just popped up after full colonization.

Edit: Is there a sweet spot when you absolutely should move to bulk? My first post it looked ready but then a day later it became more moist and the dots showed up.

Edit: Yeah looks definitely contaminated and it's spreading pretty fast.



My question now would be is this pin mold or black mold? Already sprayed down my bathroom with bleach and vinegar just as a precaution.

What would be the best way to dispose of this?

Careful with the early ditch on black dots appearing. Unless it’s become painfully obvious by now. I kept one with the same symptoms and they were right below my inoculation points turned out to be a clump of spores that just stuck to the wall falling out of the syringe.

I had another issue with the same agar dish so maybe it was in the agar. Didn't have anything noticeably wrong when I inoculated thought. It also could have been my sterilization techniques. Upping my cleaning game for sure. I did a deep clean on some problem areas in my place today.

I posted in the contamination forum but didn't get a reply. Looked like mold and from what I read it just isn't work trying to save.

This was the other jar.



I wanted to keep the jars. A lot of people on here say to just toss the jar but I decided to follow PussyFart's advice

It is not recommended to PC them and try again using the same grains.

Kill the mold spores, then dump the grains, then wash out the jar with soapy water and re-use.

I actually just setup a couple mini-monotubs using ShaperDreaming's SFF Shoebox Assembly TEK. I think I may have added too much water to the coirs but I made sure to wring it out pretty well.

I'm very excited to see my babies grow.
