Um, no. You want the grains to be dry af before you pc them. Wet grains = bacteria dream. The myc is doing great and so is the jar... my only questions was is it safe to transfer at like 97% colonization.

In a day or two this jar will be 100% colonized with clean myc.

Havnt used rye before so not sure on that part, but I wouldn't recommend transferring before 100% colonization, unless you take off those uncolonized grains then mabye, but if it's that close why worry unless it won't colonize them?

True. I might as well just wait a day. Better safe than sorry.

If you're expanding to more grains then it doesn't need to be fully colonized. You only need to worry about full colonization when spawning to a bulk substrate.

:whathesaid: that’s what I was thinking. You’re pouring them into uncolonized grain anyway so wtf does it matter?

No  :facepalm3: after you boil them, you want to dry them out until they seem like they're too dry.

That's not needed. You can just put them in the sun or under a fan for a couple days.

The deed is done. Gave to 12 receiving jars! The master jar smelt like sweet, sweet mycelium!
