Looking for a accurate tek!

I been looking for a tek that fits what I have acquired. I keep reading different teks and I'm conflicted about which to choose from. I have 7 quart jars almost fully colonized so im running out of time. My question is how much coir should I use as well as verm,gyp,hydrated lime, should I use by measurements. I also have a 50/50 for casing. I just dont want to fail lol. If anyone could be of some assistance I would appreciate it. Thanks!

650 grams coir, 3.5 quarts of water. There's your tech.

What grower said.

If your growing cubes, that's all you need for a sub.

Check field capacity if you live in a humid area. I found 3.5 can be a little wet.

For brick of coir (600-650g) i found that if i multiply grams with 4 i always get my coir at field capacity.. u can test that with grabring 10-20g of coir and try x4,x4.5,x5 and see whats works for u.. and for every quart of verm (optional) i add 1 cup of water extra

Dont use lime in coir/verm/gypsum... if you case with peat and verm after 100% then u need lime, in that case do it like RR in casing video.. u can find it on youtube.. but casing is also optional for cubes.. pseudo casing works just fine.. after mixing spawn and cvg just add cvg on top to cover whole sub and exsposed grains.. no more then 1/2 inch imo

Now that's what I was looking for! Thanks man. I was actually reading into "monster Mitch" tek and I was going to tweak it a little bit from other teks I stumbled upon. I know he was growing PE but i was wandering if his tek would increase the yield. My jars probably have another 2 weeks left till 100% but could be less as they are aggressively colonizing after I shook them up 3 days ago. I bought a shit ton of items that cover multiple teks. Probably didnt need all that for my first grow but i wanted to be prepared. I'm using 2 56q tubs with weather stripping. I was just trying to figure out the ratio for the 2. I have a 3 brick coir pack and wasnt sure if i should use all of it or half.

U can use math again.. u wanna have aprox. 10cm of substrate depth.. so if your 56q tub has height of 35cm (just for calculation).. u can say if u put 56q of something u will get 35cm depth.. now u need 10cm.. so its linear function.. 56q/35cm × 10 cm and u get 16q.. so that means u need to put 16q of spawn+sub to get 10cm in 56q tub with 35cm height

If u use quart jars thats around 750ml per jar and brick of coir expend to 8-9l  .

So.. 7x750ml is aprox. 5250ml and u wanna have 1:2 spawn-sub ratio so with that ratio in this case is 10,500ml of sub... when u add those two its close to 16L so u will get 10cm of depth, again this is just shit to show you how this works for me.. same thing with coir amout if u wanna get 10,500ml of coir u need more then one brick.. how to calculate, easy.. 650g/9000ml * 10,500ml.. so u need 760g of coir and to put that on field capacity u just multiply with 4 (or anything that works for you, x4 is in my case) to get water amount in ML  . I hope this makes sens to you :smile:

I had to read it a couple times but yes i gotcha! Thanks a million. Well see how this goes. I havent modified my tubs yet untill I was certain om that math. I appreciate your help

i use 1 brick of coir
3 qts of verm
5qts of water
5 qts of spawn
in 10 gal monos
ive use up to 10 qts w this 7 will be fine

So that's 14 gallons for me. Probably have to up the measurements a tiny bit to be right under the holes I plan on drilling.  Ive read 5 inches above the base and 8 inches above that. Sound plausible?
