High altitude cultivation on wild lands...

Hey was just curious what sort of luck anyone had as far as growing any wood loving varieties, or any Psil. varieties at all, at higher elevations (~8,500').
The growth zone is 4a and temps drop to -30F pretty much every winter so I'm assuming I'll have to set up new spots each spring, just was wondering if it was reasonable to expect introduced mycelia to colonize a wood chip bed and produce fruit in an 18-20 week period. Thanks for any info!

I did search pretty extensively about high altitude cultivation and haven't really found anything (here or elsewhere) pertaining much to my situation, so I guess I'll just have to wing it lol

Large stands of Aspen and alders all around here, figured I'd get some wood chips inoculated and colonizing in early March, hopefully have them ready to introduce to the mountain by Memorial Day...temps are in the 50s by end of September. Figure if everything works out the mycelia will have about 4-5 months
