Plz help for the love of god

I have this cake that had grew some nice mushrooms that I harvested yesterday and I had heard that you can dunk with pins. I did just that and the pins are beginning to look kind of dark and rotten. I dont trust my judgment because this is my first grow so I turn to you guys for help. Are these aborts? Should I take them off? Should I wait it out?(risk of contam due to rotting)

Plz guys I got a decent first flush from 6 cakes but I dont wanna just accept 1 flush I was hoping for 3 or even 4

yes they aborted and yes you can remove them. no it won't affect the total yield, the nutes to grow more mushies are still in the cake.

Ok I took them off and I'll be drying them for an hour or two since they're small and dry fast and I'll mix them with my other dried shrooms. I have like 10 aborts now and it makes me feel like shit because they could've grown and made for 2 individual experiences. Oh well, I'll just hope I still get a good second flush. So many people are saying it's ok to dunk with pins. Yeah right that's what happens you get like 10 aborts that end up making you feel like absolute shit
