Model of The Karmic Wheel
    #26130764 -

Thus far I have construed the nature of the Karmic wheel to be utterly logical. By this quality alone it should be readily understood by anyone who wishes to explore it's workings.

I do not pretend to have wrought these ideas through an ego-based creativity of my own, but to have assembled it from the myriad clues that are presented to me by people and books, so this is a simple effort to gain understanding by assembling pieces of a puzzle into a pattern that could make sense. However I do not, now or ever will, claim that the picture I assembled is the correct rendition, it is simply a translation of information.

Through application of our desire to understand, and our logic, we will forever come closer to the actual nature of reality.

The configuration changes with new insights. At first I figured a circle consisting of Spirituality, Emotion, Cognition, Action, and Creation; Then I proposed adding Ego as the wheel's hub.

                  fig 1

As the dual nature of these concepts worked on me I figured that in and changed the the two dimensional wheel into 3 dimensions with Ego at one end of the core and Spiritual identification at the other.

                  fig 2

The core is supported by four spindle bearings that surround it. Each spindle bearing is a category of aspects with each aspect corresponding to a person's position between the extremities of the core.

                  fig 3

When the diagram is opened and spread out with two spindle bearings either side of the core, a sliding rule would connect individual aspects in one spindle with coresponding aspects on other spindles.

                  fig 4

The four spindles are graduated as such:
Spindle #1 I labeled Interaction and graduated it from Equinimity (Love) to Defensive (Hate)
Spindle #2 I labeled Creation and graduated it from Smooth to Harsh
Spindle #3 I labled Emotion graduated from Joy to Fear
Spindle #4 is labled Cognition and graduated from Unselfish to Selfish

If we accept a cause and a solution then I think this tool may prode a step to ease the transition of mankind up the spiritual ladder.

I prefer psychology for it's strait forwardness.  Buddhism has insights into the spiritual.

On the topic of spiritual joy:

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

James 1:2-3 kjv

Trying times then (such as threats on your life, beatings etc.) can be "joy"ful occaisions, in essence.

The greatest aspect of meditation is that it does not judge.  Wisdom is not judgment.  Being that is not mind is being, not action.  Yet there is some doing or process to being.  A flowing.

Mind however is addictive.  We live in a world that appreciates busy mind over simple being.  Every aspect of mind is analyzed then weaponized.  As if they know the greatest weakness is having mind.

What is creation? And how is it either harsh or smooth? Also how is this supposed to be a guide to help transition humans up a spiritual ladder? This seems like just an arbitrary way of rating "good vs evil." It's just a three dimensional representation rather than a one dimensional representation.

But you explained it well and your diagrams are easy to understand. I would argue that it makes them seem too separate. Like as if you could work on just your selfishness and raise your overall average spiritual enlightenment. For instance, I would say being rooted in fear is intertwined with both love and hate in very complex ways. There's fear of a loved one dying, there's the single betrayal transitioning love completely into hatred in one fell swoop, there's selfishness tossed into all of those things... I'm just not sure as a diagram it's useful, we all know what aspects of human behavior are beneficial vs. hurtful. It's the actually doing it that's the challenge

I think the easiest answer to that is Romans 13:10 "Love does no wrong to its neighbor."

So a smooth transition versus a harsh transition would meet the example.

I think the central core being graduated from a spiritual identification down to an egotistical one, with corresponding attitudes in the accompanying columns, can help the seeker focus on their path.

'Counting all diverse temptations as joy' could be the acceptance and resulting joy of paying off karmic debt.
