Thank you doctorghosty. The shadow is cool and quite unique on this type of photos, but I'm a bit ashamed to get a partly destroyed (from walking 3km with it in my sweaty hand) single mushroom nominated to Shroomerys photo of the month. I usually get better photos nominated in this contest. :wink:

People need to contribute more by making more nominations!

I liked it because it was artsy, something different than we're used to seeing, rather than just a straight shot of a beautiful and perfect mushroom. I loved the use of the long shadow, it shows that a little thought went into the photo. It doesn't matter that it's not a perfect looking mushroom, because the photo is all about the shadow imo.

Yeah, when I saw that photo get nominated, I thought to myself: somebody will have to get a good one to beat that!

Didn't expect one of my pics to have to go up against that work of art! Lol
