I think that you may have become lazy. In mycology lab there were a lot of people with very litle contamination, this was because they were meticulous about thier technique.. but after some time the comtamination rate increased. This is just because people stop being so careful.

According to Paul Stamets in The Mushroom Cultivator chances of getting contamination are higher during the spring and summer months than in fall/winter.

Thats strange my Cat hasn't experenced any contamination and he started this stuff in spring :smile:

i dont know if it is from my laziness or from the amount of contams in the air, but last winter i had a 100% success rate. this summer, i was only able to save 1 jar from contams. regardless, you're not alone with this problem.
