There's always been poor people and 'low quality families if you wanna put it that way.
I don't think these mass shooters are from those demographics.

If we make abortions easy to get and government-funded, that will reduce the amount of people raised by single/poor/reluctant parents.

That's actually THE MAIN reason why they say crime rates are at a all time low.

So if we reduce the number of guns, this will automatically reduce gun violence? I don't think so.
Well, I mean it worked literally everywhere else, so, there's no way it could ever work here.
What "worked literally everywhere else"? Reducing the total number of guns isn't banning guns.

Found this interesting statistic: 81 mass shootings were done using legally bought guns. Only 16 were illegally bought, 14 were unknown: https://www.statista.com/statistics/476461/mass-shootings-in-the-us-by-legality-of-shooters-weapons/

Reducing total number of guns through bans to reduce gun violence has worked everywhere else.

IDK how someone could say with a straight face that reducing the number of guns wouldn't reduce the amount of gun violence. Unless by reducing one means reduce by two guns out of 100million or something stupid like that.

How would you even reduce the number of guns? What is circulating the market is already millions of firearms.
Buy backs are absolute shit and most gun owners would not go for that.
Making them illegal would just make millions of people criminals in one swoop and wouldn't do shit.
As soon as drugs are more legal I'm sure cartel will be stoked to supply guns instead if that's the new illegal & highly profitable item.

A good machinist can make a firearm anyway. I do recall a news program many years ago where a gang member had a machine shop made .45 machine gun.
If people in South East Asia with little education can make fire arms and other weapons, almost anyone can. Smokeless gun powder and ammunition is more difficult.

I could easily make a gun in my machine shop, I have said that many times over. In fact, I could make guns while I sleep, with CNC hardly any human interaction is even required. It would be a total waste of my machine time though, so I don't.
That said, I saw that sales of bullet proof backpacks are on the rise. That's what a booming economy feels like!

America is like Colombia but even more terrorizing with less organized terrorists.
They make bullet proof everything in Colombia. Probably could even get a tie that is bulletproof.

We should start offering would be terrorists and criminals opportunity.
Put some ads out soliciting people considering criminal acts, provide viable applicants either jobs or training/school.

Would reducing 100 million guns in the US make any difference? Most likely not, most of the gun violence is either self-inflicted or gang related.
The vast majority of gun owners don't engage in gun violence.

I doubt that vast majority is 'gang' related. There isn't even gangs so much anymore as clicks.
MS13 is more of a international criminal organization than a gang anymore. Don't believe the hype either.
They say you are more likely to be murdered by someone you know.
