Damnit it's good to wake up and shroooooooom!I confess. I struggled while we were down. Can't say for sure if the two were related but I know my social anxiety was through the roof to the point I couldn't even read texts on my phone. Not to mention I was making the switch to bags and had to wing it cause I couldn't search teks. I also confess. I love y'all.

I confess that I’ve got 4 varieties in various stages of early development and I have not labeled a single jar. I know I’m going to end up looking at whatever I end up growing and thinking “I dunno what you are but I’m gonna eat ya”

I confess I picked through a few moldy shoeboxes my house sitter was too timid to harvest for me while I was out of the country for a week. Anything without fuzz was harvested.

I confess, during the break,I opted out of my place of employment.
For some time now I have been unhappy with the way things have been run in the shop. Our lead plays the favorites game with his "homies",letting them chill out on their phones,or take 30-45min bathroom breaks, but when his working employees take a break,he's hunting them down. Anyway, dude was outside updating fakebook or whatever,so I said something to our lead.(again)He had the audacity to say "you need to worry about you working, and not this other person".
Of course that led to an audible "What Motherfucker!",by me that stopped the whole shop and had everyone staring. I guess boss man got scared and stormed off to the office,me following behind. This is where it gets super fucked, and I go in to him telling the plant manager that I wreak of alcohol and something needs to be done about me,and suggests I get sent for a UA. I haven't had a drink since July 2017,so now I'm really pissed off. Fuck this guy! Manager tells me to go ahead and leave, calm down, and we'll sort it out. Couple days later I was informed I was relieved of my duties. Sorry, but needed to get that out.
Maybe now,I can get caught up on some of my myco work.

That's a shitty turn for you man. Looks like you get a few days to regroup, do some myco stuff and find a better job with people that don't suck.
Keep us posted. You're going to rock it.

*that kind of an environment of playing favorites only gets worse and breeds animosity. Your best to be out of it. (says the random person myco friend who cares, on the internet)

I confess, I really glad the site back up. I really enjoy reading the threads, but I sure got a lot more done without the distraction of wanting to visit the site constantly.
Nate, sorry for that BS at your work, glad your being positive and seeing that being miserable anywhere is not worth all the money in the world. Good luck in your search!

I confess this Funky Monkey was a busy one during the site's down time...

It's not in the pictures, but I wrap the stack in cling wrap when piled that high so it retains the air flow from top to bottom. Yes they are cracker dry, and yes those "pucks" of shrooms break up easily and go into the bags.

Just for the sake of getting you a quick answer.
I have the same one, supposedly runs around 160-170. No settings, so always full blast.

Yup heated (I didn't take out the element if that's what you are asking, I have seen people do that, but I don't get that because actives don't degrade at these temps), and I just used regular old cling wrap, works like a charm. I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, but I did come up with it on my own in a pinch. Too many mushrooms, and not enough dehydrator so I got creative before rushing out to buy more "things" and a couple wraps of saran wrap around the stack coming up over the top edge of the lid, but not covering the center holes in the lid, this way the machines natural air-flow isn't disrupted. Worked great.
bw86 just gave me an idea in a PM I think might be better: Cut up a 5 gallon bucket into circular strips to make ring extensions for the trays to hold more without needing to wrap. This is repeatable with no waste, so if it works and turns my presto into a dehydrating MONSTER I will be pumped. (EDIT: Found a post detailing this idea. Dope: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18794303)
I have a perfect bucket to sacrifice, next flush will get that treatment. I'll post how it goes.

Well, I rest easy in the knowledge that not only does the shroomery do everything in it's power to protect us, but the site has been around for decades now and people have not been getting rounded up because of it. No news stories, no gov't mentions, no family members of community members logging in for them to update us, or anyone coming home after a bid and saying "Hey, check out my case discovery paperwork, my activities on the shroomery brought me down!" I don't consider myself a big fish, but either way that all makes it feel cozy enough on here for me.
Talk about this hobby with your friends on here, NEVER IRL. That is how you make NEW friends... Your prison friends. And those dudes just want to eat all of your Ramen Soups and Honeybuns because you still have some of that mushroom money on your commissary account... Trust me.
