Yes. Absolutely.


Over the years of working with psychedelics I have tried to line up my dosing with the cycles of our planet/sun/seasons. It doesn't always work out, but ideally those are some specific days that I try to have a trip on every year.


During the winter solstice...I eat mushrooms, at night, camping in the cold of winter, sitting at the edge of a fire.

During the summer solstice....I eat cactus/mescaline (or LSD), during the day under the sunshine, camping out in the wilderness.

The equinox is either/or as far as what I choose to work with...but as far as solstices go, I definitely choose mushrooms for the winter solstice and cactus or LSD for the summer solstice, it just feels right.



During the winter solstice for the past several years I have ate mushrooms. I go camping, either solo or with one or two other heads, and I eat my mushrooms and sit at the edge of a fire all night.

Eating mushrooms during the winter solstice is very "fitting" and symbolic to me for various reasons. I pick my mushrooms (ps cyanescens & ps allenii) from patches that grow in my area only during November and December, and they usually give me their largest flush/harvest right before the winter solstice/christmas. The winter solstice is typically the only time of year that I have fresh mushrooms on hand and the only time of year I get to eat mushrooms fresh.

Eating fresh mushrooms while camping on the night of the winter solstice has certainly become a tradition of mine...from the fact that that's the time of year the mushrooms grow around my area, to how the winter solstice is the end/death of a cycle, and how a new cycle/new birth/new beginning arises after the winter solstice, and how mushrooms can catalyze a "re-birth" and a new fresh beginning...there are so many reasons I find tripping on mushrooms on the winter solstice to be very "fitting" and symbolic.

'tis the season.




But yea...tripping on specific days that signify the cycles of our planet and our trip around the sun throughout the year is a great "regimen"/tradition to have IMO.

That's not to say I won't trip on any other time/days through the year...just that I really try to have a trip during the solstices, those are two days out of the year I do try to plan a trip ahead of time.
