Some thoughts for you, but I don't want to preach - 2c
    #26123574 -

I've been trying to sound thoughtful on Facebook again and this is some of the stuff I've come up with, I thought I'd run the ideas by you guys because it's a good crowd, honestly. So here goes -

---

I simply live inside the Truth by maintaining a mindset of operating principles and values that prevent me from straying from the happiness and joy overwhelming me in the present moment. The Truth is many things, and one thing the Truth is, is an example. Someone who lives in the Truth, sets an example, whether they are aware of it or not. I've made no provocations in life to make others think the way I do except in my developmental infancy, which was little more than a persistent arrogance which drained me throughout the day. The more mature I get, the less ideas I operate by, the more my previous ideas are now intuitively obvious or self-evident, the less I consider pushing ideas onto others, the more I set an example and the less I am aware of it. You see, the Truth, the actual Truth, is not just another ideology on the market, it upholds itself and sets itself loose. The way things are... this is pre-eminence, this is what is real setting the agenda, it has nothing at all to do with me or my ideas which I restate to myself as needed in order to peek within the domain of Truth and cautiously explore there. It's not up for debate. You can't design alternatives. It is true whether you acknowledge it or not, and you live within its iron-fisted rule whether you are aware of it or not. All resistance to Reality will provide any individual or culture is sustained, unrelenting pain, whether they are aware their apathy is really growing numbness and their dominance is really a shadow of human greatness, or not.

---

As a Western civilization we tried to establish indisputable facts by first disarming individual experience through the creation of a notion of the external. We then developed a method for the mass production of external facts, and allowed the individual's inner life to fade away into the obscurity of an "epiphenomenon". Dangerous ideas. With the emphasis on externality in a culture, the individual is essentially told to disregard the only perfectly and certainly real thing in their lives - their own field of experience. Somehow the individual is fooled into thinking their cultural experience is real yet their individual experience is not, despite them obviously being in the same field, the same logical category for what can be called their source. If you can't trust your individual experience or inner life, how can you trust your cultural experience or external life? They are both inside your subjectivity. Isn't this likely to dehumanise somebody? And living in contradiction means living in confusion, which means living in fear. The culture's antidote to fear is more culture, less individuality. More culture, less individuality. As long as it is increasing and the increments seem like motion in the life of the citizen, it seems a justified act not to mention a good way to ignore the contradiction.

---

I only work in certainties. I go looking for certainly correct ideas in mind and life and function based on those, I don't run on speculations. Certainties are established by experience, not reasoned into existence. This takes experiment. No one is experimenting with the present moment, the present experience they are having... this was the missing piece in my life, and seems to be a central missing piece in our culture. So, when I have established enough certainties I join the dots and call it my notion of life, and proceed from there. I use the certainties to rule out whole areas of thinking in the modern world, even if they are popular cultural ideas or values, or considered frontier thought. I just accept the facts. That's a strength anybody can have - just accepting the facts. I minimise but do not rule out entirely all cultural behaviour, as it is unnecessary to both rule out or fully indoctrinate oneself with culture. Culture is full of speculations, and is more like convenience than understanding. We must try to be as independently minded as possible without falling into sheer paranoia. The best means for trusting yourself is to establish without any doubt that your awareness, your sense of self, your mind, are all synonymous with what is alone real, which is reality. The best way to establish that is to disintegrate the ego with persistent discipline and degradation of self-importance, and become what is alone real.

---

Most of the world's problems are within yourself. Solve your inner conflicts, your repressions, regrets, stored negative energies, and the previous problems of the world will instead manifest in your perception as the mathematically certain and unnecessary consequences of deliberate and willful, easily avoidable and alternatively resolvable, acts of meaningless stupidity that fail to even concern you enough to bat an eyelid, but perhaps rub your arm as a psychological distraction.

---

So everything is experience. Our mathematics, our faculty of reason, and everything that branches from just these two things is first and foremost an experience in consciousness, not so necessarily an "objective fact", "external reality" or some kind of archetypal truth. They are experiences like your life is an experience. Your home, your job, your family, your friends. If we give validity to complex experiences such as mathematics and reason, we ought to give validity to all experience, quite especially the present moment. Why are we not studying the present moment, but we study mathematics and entertain reason (and branching topics)? In fact the present moment has always been confronting you, perhaps for eternity, as you do not know how long you have really existed, especially if we are divine. Yet, we turn attention to specific understanding that we claim eclipses our experience of the present. That is not really a pencil, it is mostly empty space and atoms. Not really a forest, an ecosystem. Not really a fine, fresh, beckoning day, but positive meteorology. Your present experience is a place, a circumstance, that in fact eclipses and precedes any mathematics and faculty of reason which are subordinate (yet valid) experiences. We dig deep to find those experiences. Why are you not paying attention to what is happening to you, right now, as if it were an artifact left behind by the mysteries of the universe as much as the planet is an artifact left behind by the mysteries of the universe? You know it's there like you know the ground and air your breathe are there - it has persisted for the entire duration of your subjective existence. Where are you, really? You must find out. You must find out before you proceed to subordinate experiences, and erroneously backtrack, and retrospectively define the present in terms of the subordinates. You are never truly anywhere you have seen before. How could you be? You are yet to be present to see it, too busy dabbling in the faculty of reason and its offshoots like time, space and causality. Be here now. Take a second look at where you are. No one is home, but you. Yet something is inviting you to go endlessly deeper into it. The deeper you go, the louder the invitation.

---

I mean, you can understand that, if the mind is surrendered you are dealing with the irrationality of an injured wild animal. That animal will hurt itself continuously in order to escape even that which is trying to save it. Nothing else in life grips me with this kind of darkness as a person gearing their lives around the central premise that their inner life does not matter in the context of purportedly external cultural values, trends, ideals, what have you. In actuality, the inner life is externalised at all times. You are lost there, forever. Being lost, and being the victim of trends, you are twice jinxed. What are your chances? Are you cornered? How do you know?

---

I don't want to seem like I'm trying to sound like the most romantic man alive, but I always intuitively rejected culture, trends and conformity, despite not even having a clear thought process as a child, adolescent and most of being a young man. Intuitively. That means, I didn't even come up with a reasonable story to tell myself as to why I was doing that, it simply was as common sense that if the stove burns, you don't touch it again while it's hot. As a strange consequence of this categorical deflection of such, I had a kind of dark appraisal of people who did subscribe to culture, follow trends, and who conformed. It was almost as if they were potential murderers, and when their herd mentality bullshit took shots at me from time to time, I would see their deaths for a split second. I wasn't the culprit, they were. Jung referred to it as "self-murder". I couldn't understand that people who moments ago I had shared, for instance, humorous connections with had suddenly turned, exhibiting a wild irrationality that was not only not in their best interests but also completely unnecessary, all without registering on their compass as any kind of diversion from reasonable behaviour. And so it is today in this world en masse. A horror would occasionally grip me in crowded rooms where I suddenly felt intensely vulnerable. Who are these flickering ghosts who sell their minds to any bidder as if any offer guaranteed security? It disturbed me deeply. So I kept running.

---

It's far-fetched and hard to swallow. But get this. We live within some kind of engine, it generates imagined worlds. You can "tune" your "frequency" to see them and live in them and explore them endlessly. Pretty much no one is doing this. We are decrepit and living in spiritual poverty. All the horrors we are committing - domination through culture, domination through politics and law, child abuse, war, drug abuse, murder, serial killers, the banking elite - are there for good reason; it's no wonder at all that we have them, if we are confined to a stripped down and banal reality where we live by proxy through mass media, are fed conditioning right from birth to compete with and dominate others (in the education system and culture), are kept in a low energy, low inspiration, low aspiration state, distract ourselves by fighting over money, status and power, sink our karma deeper and deeper by harming each other emotionally... and, of course, never visit any of the infinite worlds all around us by changing our energy state (sober). Furthermore if you get your mind right, you can regenerate the body easily and quickly and not age at all. I mean, shit guys, this couldn't be any worse. Humankind is completely at odds with reality and its framework. That we have another day to live tomorrow is completely unbelievable - that these modern societies will last another day is totally against the odds. We need to act now. All the tools are there for a utopia, it was never going to come through the political systems. It's about individual freedom, it's about you, and it's about doing the right thing by others because they are literally you and we are all energetically connected.

---

Do you see your thoughts? With your mind's eye? I don't see them. He, she, doesn't seem them. The whole claim you have an inner life is a delusional statement. What authority do you have to tell me what is real and what isn't? You can't form a club that owns your mind and call it culture then tell me I'm delusional not to see the cultural assumptions just because you like to nervously hold each other's hands and put thoughts in each other's minds and claim that makes them external facts because at least temporarily while your mind is blind the other mind is holding the fort. Some of the other primates are probably capable of doing this.

Thank you for reading if you got this far. Please be constructive even if I've been or tried to be provocative. A lot of influence from McKenna I suppose.

I am glad this has been broken down into paragraphs or sections.
Each section should be titled.

If you could title each section we could have more intelligent responses to sections that do not have to WRANGLE with the whole writhing beast that you have tried to lasso here, by quoting individual sections.

Also it will force you to be more clear about what you mean and why it has all got collected into one post.

I've looked a lot, but have never found certainties in life, aside from the classic cliché.

It's certain the present moment exists. Go from there.

It's certain that all violence is expression of trauma and feeds on others' trauma, and if you resolve your trauma you resolve the whole problem violence presents. Even subtle violence like people influencing your thinking and notions of life with their agenda.

If you are not a traumatised human being your mind, your being, your life is sovereign. No one can touch you.

That also is certain...

Likewise without trauma in your psyche you have no desire to touch anyone else, which is part of why they can't touch you - you are not open to negativity, the gates do not flow that way. Your energies only flow outward, and only love and positivity can get to you because it is elicited from inside yourself by the relevant acts of others, and instantly flows right back to them in a karmic sense.

I don't think there is a necessity to convince others, however insight into some things you see and why you see them as such can surely be interesting.

The below quote kinda rings a bell with me

Quote:
the more my previous ideas are now intuitively obvious or self-evident, the less I consider pushing ideas onto others

The rest of the first paragraph seems like it's highlighting a difference between the real world and fantasy which in the end is helpful to be aware of.

Onto the second paragraph;

We didn't try to establish indisputable facts, we discovered them, from evolution to chemistry and physics.

A dynamic epiphenomenon doesn't seem a dangerous idea. The personal field of experience is not disregarded in this regard.

It's that fantasy isn't taken to be always what is external. Sometimes you can make it external but the moon isn't made of cheese however hard you wish. Though if you think about it long enough and enact a plan you can build a model moon made of cheese, and enjoy the heck outa that.

I think cultural experiences like tradition have the habit of dehumanisation at the cost of tribalism. You fear those that are considered the 'others', and when they don't approve of you or your views you run back to the family and become engraved in your culture/tradition.

P3

Certainties are theorised, reasoned into existence and experienced as so.. they then adapt to new information.

Being truly independently minded is taking into consideration the certainty of creation, a flat earth, moon cheese and the likes of which are debunked and debunkable views.

"We can be open minded, but not so open minded your brain falls out."

With all the heresay of dissolving an ego, I've come to my own thoughts that perhaps a better goal would be to intergrate the ego, to not allow it to overcome us in times of hardship, and to find cooperation where necessary.

P4

Most of the worlds problems lie within campaign financing.

That and initiating action before motivation ensues.

There is a lot of silly, and a lot of apathy in the world, and a lot of courage and a lot of change.

P5

Everything is experienced*

There is of course validity to experience, but not all experience is as it may be understood to be.

Birthdays give us a good hint to how long we've been experiencing, but our memories took some time to tune.

It is a pencil, because you're on a normal scale, you're not a quark.

A forest and all within it are part of an ecosystem..

Some days hold more joys than others, sunshine or clouds.

Our circumstances are indeed rare.

Planets like ours are artifacts of the cosmos.

P6

I would agree if you said, "If parts of the mind are surrendered you could be dealing with the irrationality of an injured wild animal."

I think the inner life matters more than your culture. My own is certainly far more significant to me than tradition and etiquette.

Boxed maybe, in a large box, but not cornered no.

P7

Touching hot things can teach us quick lessons as youth :yesnod:

When someone's definitoin of others and them self is dependent on fame and reputation, when it is viewed to diminish, it can sour relations.

P8

Your spiritual poverty may not be that same as that of say a hindu, or a jew, or a pastafarian for that matter.

Regenerating your health is achievable in a miriad of ways, as for not ageing, well that's how gun powder was discovered.

When political systems make fair their campaign finance laws, corruption tends to lower. Because if over 10 years you recieved $10 million from a certain friendly body, the likely hood you wouldn't thank them generously is unheard of.

P9

Within my minds eye it's not unheard of to walk through my thoughts and foresee actions, to rehearse in a great deal of aspects.

Data, research and experimentation secedes authority. Because if you got rid of all of it, and in 100,000 years time a new culture began collecting it, they'd reach the same conclusions; and perhaps that culture could be one of other primates.

Thanks for your feedback and analysis sudly! Very educated words.

I guess I just put this stuff out there because it has nothing to do with my agenda or how I think life should be, it's more intimate than that - I mean I'm mostly talking about your mind and how it relates to the present, you can instantly see if what I say is true or not, and that should help you.

We can actually eclipse the need to get political or socially critical if we just follow the present moment deeper into the present moment, to find that it is not a small window of transient events but that it expands into its own universe and eclipses your previous universe of time and planning whose planning was really just an attempt to imitiate the abudance of life found in the present moment, and then instead you can act from there, instead of acting within this 'time' idea and 'culture' idea etc.

Thoughts don't really go anywhere, until they become physical action.  Weed doesn't seem to make that very clear.
