Not at all, I was generalizing. Discipline a cat, who wins? Discipline a dog, who wins? (not the beating kind of discipline, people who do that should not be a animals guardian) Ever seen a guilty cat?
We are talking about domesticated, "pets" right?
Also a Dog is not a wolf by a long shot, that is why there are laws against owning a dog that is over a certain % wolf. Also if the DNR ever catches your dog chasing wildlife outside of you legally hunting, it gets put down.
Very few breed dogs will survive without humans and wolfs do not hesitate to kill rover even when a human is present. Best trick is when the pack sends a female out to entice Mr. fluffy for the kill. Dogs will be much easier for the wolves menu item if that day comes. There is a good reason why people hate wolves that live in the sticks.
Cats are hypersensitive and very, very, territorial, they know when something is off particularly your mood, especially when you are tripping. They have more neurons than dogs meaning they have a bit higher state of figuring things out. The common house cat is also the most ruthless killer in the animal kingdom. A cat will eat you after you die long before your dog will. Not because it hates you but because cats run on far more instinct impulses that have not or cannot be breed out than a domesticated dog. Closest you'll get to a dog with a cat is the ragdoll cat taylor swift loves so much.
As I said I was generalizing, I've been through over 20+ cats and 4 dogs in my life and never ever seen a cat crawl on it's belly when it has done something you do not approve of. Let alone have to let it out so it doesn't piss and shit everywhere. I would only own a dog again if I needed it to work or hunt.
My cats snuggle and sleep with me every night but they do not take any shit from me without a fight and demand mutual respect for the relationship to work and it feels rewarding. Domesticated dogs are just sluts and easy to love IMO.

Dogs have been hanging around humans so long the smarter ones start to naturally get a feel for when you are tripping and understand that you are. Or, I am just tripping and think this...

I believe that dogs are empathic to human emotions, which is why they get emotional when you are tripping, sad, happy, angry, etc.
Cats are as well, but in a more subtle way.

When tripping, i either follow the cat or the dog follows me. The cats always leading me into trouble, the dog is pretty good at keeping it away.

I remember once taking some good MDMA years ago, and although I mostly kept to myself, the cat I had at the time responded strongly to my general presence...she was extremely engaging and friendly toward me. We bonded quite a bit. The morning after the cat behaved as if nothing had happened and I felt a bit fucked. I had this cat for a long time and never experienced anything like it again. Good cat. Admittedly I am more of a dog person...but when I see a dude who is really bonded with his cat, I get it.
I’m super close to my dog. She is undoubtedly my best bud...and she is always entertained & aware when I trip, if only because she has seen it enough times now to get a kick out of me getting goofy and shit. She’ll watch me like she’s watching a funny movie, straight up. She’s part coyote or wolf or something wild, a stone cold killer that just so happens to love me to death. I guess she is like a cat in a way, except with a decidedly more interactive, canine vibe.
In general, I would say that I am an “animal person.” I like all of ‘em.

Ive seen it with my cat too.
One time I took two hits of acid and my cat was acting really weird. Hes a chill cat most of the time, but that night he was more "wired" and stimulating, being very affectionate with me in a sort of "manic" sort of way.
Im a firm believer that animals like cats and dogs can pick up our mental "vibes". Probably some kind of psychic thing going on.

I've been living my whole life with dogs. I can't even imagine my house without a dog. Of course, they need mo recare and time than cats. My golden retriever has dermatitis now and then and I always have apoquel for dogs at home. Also, I wake up early to walk with her and train her. But I'm happy to have such a smart and friendly dog.
