Story: Yesterday I tried grilling mushrooms on top of my stove. I just chopped them up and threw them on the burner. It smelled terrible. I tried getting them off with a fork but only succeeded in pushing them under the burner. I turned it off and got a big plate to try and fan away the thick smelly smoke that was filling the kitchen. The smoke detector started ringing and I ran to go turn it off while the mushrooms were being reduced to ash.
Was that a recipe?
No.

I don't think you're supposed to put anything directly on your stove's burner

I figured they'd cook faster on the burner.

Hairy Tek pizza:
I saute a bunch of regular mushrooms with a few shitakes and/or portobellos in butter and/or olive oil with a lot of garlic. When cooked, stir in some soy sauce.
- Chop, steam and drain a bunch of fresh washed spinach.
- Make a pizza dough from 2 cups flour, 7/8 cup water, 1 tsp salt, 1 pkg fast rising yeast, and 1/4 cup olive oil. I put oregano in the dough too. Knead and let rise 1 hour or more.
- Spread the drained spinach first, then the sauteed mushrooms, then cover with Classico sun-dried tomato spagetti sauce, then finish with whatever pizza cheeze.
- Let rise 30 minutes after adding the toppings before baking at 450 for 19 minutes.
- Let it chill 5 minutes, so you don't burn the roof of your mouth.
