HBW sprout pics!
    #2612188 - 04/28/04 05:49 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Check out my Hawiian baby woodrose sprouts (hawiian strain) the big one popped 2 days ago so i pullled the shell off for her and the other one just popped today, so i pulled her seed off too. The key to starting these seeds is filing the pointy side away from the eye a bit so your just through the shell then papertowel em in a warm spot. then the tap roto gets started and it just rips the shell off, i put htem in soil when the taproot was 1/4" long.

The soil mix is peat with 20% pearlite 20% composted manure, as with all my plants and gardns im keepking them all organic. And i put a layer of pearlite to reflect the light so the soil dosent dry out as fast. Once i get a bag of verm ill use that instead because ive fount it allows toors to be "air trimmed" under the verm and you get a nice matt of roots in the top layer so soil.

Now i just have to wait a year for it to mature to get seeds :P

Ill play with the lighting next winter going to spring. Ill trying to match the outdoor schedule then put them outside in late spring and see what happens. It dosnet seem like any of you guys ever thought to play with lighting while this is the ovious answer.
