MASON JAR GROW QUESTIONS

Okay my friends. The days till my little jars hit full colonization are inching closer. I still (easily) have another 2-3 weeks, including a consolidation period, but, I want to be extra prepared. I live with my parents. Pretty sure my mom knows, as she found the brown rice flower and sift for grinding the brown rice (ended up buying after breaking coffee grinder. Saw that was moved as well) She hasn’t said anything and she loves shrooms, but I’d never tell her i’m growing. They will get light, cause I keep my door closed most of the day anyways.

Anyways, I don’t want to do a mono tub. Just can’t. You’re probably asking, why would you grow anyways? Cause I wanted to, that’s why. I made a previous post asking how to grow out of mason jars. I read Bods easy af tek, but it didn’t go into much detail. Here’s my questions:

1. What do i do about in vitro pinning, and side pinning? Are they the same thing?
2. Should I move it to a larger jar?
3. Fresh air exchange, what do I do about it? I read to mist once a day to every two days, and to keep a plastic bag over it.
4. Could they grow with a just a little sunlight a day? How mad would the mushies be at me if I didn’t give the 12 hours?
5. Should I be letting my colonizing jars a bit of indirect light? Some say yes, many say no.

Thanks friends. Please don’t get frustrated, I’m trying! It’s my first grow.

bods easy as f answers those questions. side pins are shrooms. who cares:shrug:

a ziplock with few holes is all you need. you mist to maintain a glistening surface.. thats it. shrooms are not chi-a-pets.

you can use window light or 12/12 of artificial. or any combination. shrooms are not plants so light isnt as life giving but they are phototrophic(grow towards light).

YES on the colonizing with light. putting stuff in the dark is literally cave man shit(dont do it)

on to another thing...

tell the people in the house what you are growing. its common decency.

the mushies will be mad at you for not being honest:cop2::nono:

dude you can easily give them a light on a 12/12 timer without anyone noticing.. i did it when i 15 living with my parents you can too! and definitely keep this shit to yourself don’t tell anyone including parents and friends.. just tell them you got the shrooms from a buddy

i told my mom i was growing. at first she was horrified. thought id get spores in my lungs and overdose:rofl:

few months later she gifted me my first pc.

Hahha, yeah, honestly that’s how I’d prefer to keep it. I don’t really want my dad knowing that’s the thing. My mushrooms are not the ones you cook with you know. Pretty sure my parents wouldn’t like that in their house. Long as my mom knows and doesn’t say anything, I’m fine with the silent acknowledgment. Both my parents know the psychedelics I’ve tried

inoculated on the 11th, so hmmm 9 days! Thanks hahah! They’re from publix*. Super cheap!!! So glad they’re doing well so far. I really did not have the best time with sterilization. I have a another round I did on the 15th, wayyyy more sterile and better prepared so I’m super excited for those!

Thanks for the gif trouble shooting my guy. Just learned yesterday you can change the shroomerys skin! Haha, I prefer the classic though.
