Dunkin Cakes
    #2611230 - 04/28/04 12:03 PM (19 years, 11 months ago)

i searched a bit about dunkin cakes, and some far i have come to these findings:

1)Dunking is good
2)Can dank with pins visible but they might mutate, so better remove pins before danking
3)submerged time should be more than 12 for good effects and less than 24. Though 8 hours wil do some good
4) Cake should be submerged but not sunk. It must be underwater but not lying on the bottom
5) normal tap water can be used, if it doesn?t have too much salts and minerals

Big question is:

Should I add something to the water? Peroxide? Some nutritient? What does peroxide do? How about putting a part of serum? Its cheap and sterile and has enough nutritients for a human body. I made up the part about serum so I don?t know if it works..

I would avise against putting anything in the water. Some people do add hydrogen peroxide to the dunk (It is an antiseptic -- will kill bacteria) Regular tap water is fine, it worked for me with great results. Remember that regular tap water, in most civilized places anyways, is treated with chlorine, another disinfectant. Additional nutrients are not needed, PF-style cakes have enough rice flour to carry it through at least 2 or 3 flushes. I have heard of people using condensed milk as a nutrient in the dunk water, but I don't know about the serum. If you have enough cakes, why don't you run a little experiment and post the results?

from what i read, 24 hours is enough. But i'm a noob. i guess it depends on the cross section of the cake.
