I think you were right about needing more FAE seems to be much happier now. Got a few "fuzzy feet" now tho, thinking unlatched lid isnt enough, gona flip the lid I think.

Low FAE might not be so much of a negative with enigma. Mine is coming in a little differently than yours:

One week ago:

Today:

I have three air holes on each of side of this tub with some micropore tape over them. I spawned this about a week after you did yours.

It's possible. Mutations certainly cause variation in tissue cultures but I'm leaning more towards environmental factors on this one. The difference could easily be air availability. I'm spawning another tub this weekend and I'll try out an unmodified one; see how they compare.

That's interesting Im very curious about this. Mine seemed to almost grow pins then start to fin out later. Yours started finning immediately it seems.

Is this a 28qt tub?

Gotta make some more oats....I need more enigma tubs in my life

This is a 32 qt tub, 24" w × 16" l × 7" h. I bought a few of them for enigma.

As I mentioned, I've seen growths exactly like the ones in your tubs on agar dishes and in a jar I'm currently letting fruit in vitro. It makes sense since low FAE tends to cause mushrooms to stretch upwards, anecdotally speaking.

Mines 23x16x6, and I see how it could be low FAE. My agar test dishes pin just like my tub. I just thought because they take so long I would be able to get away with an unmodified tub but I think that idea is misplaced.

My tub was also a lot like that one you just posted, just fruit formations all over the sub top, then it turned into baseballs after a week or two.

Been trying to decide when to harvest myself, thought these were almost done growing last week because they are starting to blue in spots but they keep getting bigger. Ive read people will give them the squeeze test, harvest when they get soft.

Tubs little over 6 weeks old thinking im gona harvest at the 2 month mark unless something changes my mind
