Advice on my shoebox tek

Looking for any general advice, suggestions on how to proceed with my grow. I have two 6qt shoeboxes with each 1quart WBS spawn and a little more than 1qt coir/verm substrate. I spawned these just yesterday.
One has a thin casing layer and the other one without. I'm giving them 12/12 light. Room temp is about 75-77. They seem to be progressing so far since only yesterday. Do y'all think they look okay so far?
Should I just leave these as is for 10-12 more days with the 12/12 light cycle before I open and flip the lid to provide FAE? I'm also wondering if the one without a casing layer will be okay to fruit without it?
Thanks for helping a noob out! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your conditions sound fine.
They look fine so far.
And yes you should stay the course, follow the tek to the T, let it colonize as recommended, and proceed.
I only case PE. So yeah it will be fine.
Oh, and as always, the surest route to success is hours upon hours of reading the extensive amount of resources all of us shroomery members have available to us through the search function.

You could change to fruiting conditions at any time you want, at full colonization, or wait and let it consolidate. People have their way of doing it. I like to give full FAE at ~70-100% colonization or from the beginning. If you want, you can add a thin casing layer of your coir/verm substrate at 100%. Worked well for me

Thanks for the feedback! And yes, I've done countless hours of research just to get to this point, and will continue to research as long as I plan on growing. There is so so much to learn and this being my first grow ever, I just wanted to get some firsthand advice from someone on here on how everything looks and sounds so far.
I never thought mycology could be so fun. Sometimes I feel like a mad scientist in a lab lol. It's such a rewarding hobby

Are there any real benefits in letting it consolidate more? Will more consolidation in the tub before putting it into fruiting conditions equal bigger/more mushrooms? Or is it all just a personal preference kind of thing and doesn't make much difference either way?

Not sure, but I don't think it doesn't make a big difference. Bod said he has seen faster colonization when starting fruiting conditions sooner.
You can look into it if you want, but probably no need to unless you're growing Penis envy
