hehehe....woodears are funny....no chinese food without...mainly soups
they grow here wild on sambucus in winter...but you should wash em well after soaking
...

I have read somewhere that "wood-ears" Auricularia auricula-judae contain a compound that causes thinning of the blood, and they are used medicinally.

A good way to cook them is to add some chicken bulyon cubes to the water. + insted of using a boring stir fry use vinigar oyster sauce, fish sauce and sugar. you'll haev to placy with the mixtures but my friends mom can do wonders with jsut those ingrediance.
