It’s not epic, that’s the thing.  The goal is to make it seem exciting and grandiose, even when it’s not.  It can be hard to motivate a five year old to wake up for school on a cold morning, so I’m using dramatic music to make it seem more thrilling than it really is.  “Epic” is my son’s word for it- he always talks about “an epic LEGO battle”, or an “epic roller coaster ride”.  Epic stuff.  I’m trying to sell him on the idea of the “epic school day”.

It's Super Duper nice here. We got a ton of rain the past couple days and now it's sunny. All the grass and plants are coming back to life and are turning bright green and the birds are chirping. Spring is in the air today.

I want to try snowboarding this year too. The problem is that it would be a huge investment and I don't know how often I could go. I would have to rent not only the board and boots, but I don't have any winter clothes or jackets, no tire chains, would need a hotel, plus whatever it costs to ride up the mountain. I guess if I went for a couple days it might be cool and I know of a really good bakery near Mammoth Mountain which is where I would like to go.


Time for coffee, mushroom hunting, and then pizza party for lunch! Gotta make sure I'm done with X-mas shopping before it's too late too. Have you guys done your shopping? I wish I could just give mushrooms to everyone for Xmas.

did a bunch of cleaning early this morning before intending to lay down
then fell into a rabbit hole about the Harry Potter author tweeting more terf shit



the Maya individual got fired from her job
then attempted to start a legal (?) challenge stating that the right to specify sex should be protected
instead the court found that the right to discuss and argue over biological sex is fine,
but that her refusal to address people by their preferred pronouns may cause undue psychological stress
and is therefor not a protected belief

it's frustrating knowing that JK Rowling is such an influential figure and throwing her clout behind things like this
but have some insulation from the issue due to not really getting into Harry Potter

on the other hand, was a big fan of Animorphs and Everworld
so finding out K.A. Applegate is trans positive was nice


now taking some indica bong rips and hoping to sleep soon

What kind of stuff do you guys do for fun in Windsor? When I lived in Northern Michigan we would basically just get drunk and do drugs in different places and other times we would get drunk and go fishing.

It's getting late now. Time for video game action and then bed time. I have to fix someones power tomorrow and then back to mushroom hunting. I went today and came up empty handed besides a West Coast style Southern chicken sandwich.

Speaking of chicken sandwiches, I tried Popeyes for the first time last night. The wife thought it wasn't as good as KFC. I thought it was maybe marginally better. The biscuits were a nice touch. I've had grocery store chicken that was better though. I also went to my kid's Christmas concert thing last night. I think it was the 7th graders, they did a "Christmas Rap" which was them as the reindeer complaining that Santa is fat and lazy and they do all the work. "Without us, he's nothin'." It was amusing.

Having wifi issues so no pic but..

I just stumbled upon a completely unexpected crop of 150gr fresh Ps. Cyan in my garden!

I had expected no harvest this year as I just planted a Sakura tree there, disturbing the patch but lo! behold! 5 ounces of fully matured Cyans in a corner of the patch, ripe for the picking!

So I microdose Shrooms quite frequently; normally a couple of times a week. I got a new batch recently and have been attempting to dial in the dose - normally the sweet spot is about 300mg for me - but I felt nothing. So this week I went a bit harder at it, but after trying 6,7,800mg and feeling nothing, this morning I ate 1.5g out of frustration.

Hit me pretty hard about twenty minutes ago. Thank fuck I'm working from home. It's gonna be an interesting day if it starts like this....
