Hey folks, I'm looking for ANY and all tips you got from experience for WBS. Specifically how long to soak and if you personally simmer. How can I tell if my moisture content is right? Link me to your favorite methods too! Thanks guys, I really appreciate this
I've only done brown rice flower and this seems like a whole new ball park for me so please, no detail is too small

Jst soak 24 hours then rinse a few times , then strain and spread out n dry ,load your jars an give em a shake when you take em out of the pc n remove the foil
No need to simmer after a soak ,you can boil a pot of water and add it to the wbs for your last strain for a minute to speed up the drying

I rinse mine till waters clean (5-6x) then soak 24 hrs give take. Strain them (20 min+) some times I lay them over a screen to dry if I do enough. Jar them up. Shaking after PC distributes remaining moisture.

A quicker method if you have time; Put 6 qts wbs into lrg stock pot, fill 7/8 full, strain out sunflower seeds. Pour into strainer, enough to fill strainer half way, run water over them and wash with hands. Pour into separate container, do this til the end of your seeds. Put wbs back into stock pot, fill 3/4, boil, stirring every 15 mins until 1hr, strain, rinse off and set out to dry. Drying take a couple hours if you dont have a fan. They shouldn't stick to your hand, once they are dry enough, bottle up 10 qts, and PC...

Do this but with wild bird seeds. For the soak put the pot in the refrigerator for 24 hours. If you don't your house is going to smell horrible. Even if you you only soak for 12 hours the smell will still be extremely bad. Someone will probably argue with me about the refrigerator but you'll see what I'm talking about soon enough lol. I like to simmer mine. The key is to only simmer for a short period of time before you drain everything and to use a thick pot. If you dont you'll burst some seeds. Just do a little extra so if you burst some it won't really matter. The fucked up ones will all be at the bottom of the pot so you can always toss it. It just takes a little practice. I would just stick with the basics. Everyone will tell you a different way to do it. Save the experimenting for a different grow lol.

He'll end up putting grain with 2 much moister in his jar. You watch. Wbs is cheap as fuck so who cares if he fucks up some grain his first time.

Then he can try these for comparison:

Figuring out what works for you is half the fun of it.
Hell, I think when I came on the board I was using Doc34's WBS tek and making it work. But I think that one was removed from the main site.
