Solar Pasteurization of Manure Substrate

I'm interested in knowing if anyone has ever attempted to utilize the sun to pasteurize their substrates. I am aware of boing in jars, bags, and pillowcases, as well as using ovens and microwaves, but would love to figure out a legitimate method of using a some type of a solar oven to heat the substrate to the necessary temperature.
After realizing how hot it gets inside of my truck, I put a cooler full of manure inside and checked the temperatures for a couple of days but it never reached higher than 120f. To be clear, I wasn't aware of the outside temperature during those days but did find information stating that the inside temperatures can reach anywhere between 130f to 172f, depending on the outside temperature, and I live in Costa Rica where the sun is shining strong almost every day.
Aside from that, I attempted a simple experiment by putting the manure in a black trash bag, putting that bag inside of a cooler, and then covering the cooler with my glovebox, but the temperature didn't rise high enough to even register on the meat thermometer.
All in all, it would be amazing to figure out how to directly use the free heat of the sun to make this happen. Any and all ideas and referrals are welcome and thank you for reading!

Nice and very interesting first post! Welcome to the community.
Man i bet Costa Rica is real nice for active shroom and plant hunting.
Never ever thought of analog Solar pasteurization! Little farther north then you.

This is a cool idea! I also live where the sun can cook things reletively easily.
It looks like you have the right idea, but you need more insulation and more reflective walls.
Look up some solar oven designs for inspiration

Wouldn't it work better without the cooler? I mean sure it will keep it hot longer once it gets there, but its also gonna resist heating in the first place.
I'm obviously not an engineer, but I'd try it with just the trash bag

Thanks to everyone for the uplifting replies! I've enjoyed following these online communities for many years now and am glad to finally get into posting.
I still think it would be quite epic to be able to use the inside of a car but, until any ideas come my way, I am going to try a few variations with the outdoor container and see what works best. A few that I have in mind: 1. lining the cooler with aluminum foil; 2. filling a black trash bag and putting it inside of the glass-enclosed glove box; or 3. filling a stainless steel pot (with glass cover) and putting it inside the glove-box.
Aside from that project, I came across an interesting "steam chamber" idea, which utilizes the pressure cooker's steam by connecting tubing from the release valve to a chamber that can hold a much larger amount of substrate; might use the cooler and/or my glove box for this project too.
Will keep everyone posted and look forward to all other input! Thanks again!
