I dont believe in objective right or wrong but please let not get into that discussion again. Although we are different animals we are not different from animals. Yes our society and technology may be more complex but there are few things in our behaviour that are not also common in other animals.

I dont know if its biological to only have one partner. By now I have lost my objectiveness in that regard. Nature vs Nurture you know?

Being in a relationship is not only about sex/love, a large part of it is survival of the individual and the species. Sue that no longer really applies in the first world but it is a thing nonetheless

It's not so black and white. Swans form monogamous pair bonds that can last for one mating season or for many years, and in some cases, for life. Swans do occasionally "cheat". Research shows female Australian black swans are regularly unfaithful. There are sometimes evolutionary benefits to having multiple sex partners. It's funny how we have romanticized swans to the point they decorate weddings! And wolves and gibbons are also known to sometime cheat on their partner.

I don't think the article is that bad. We all do stupid things when we're young. I never cheated on anyone but I sure as fuck lied, stole, and beat people up.

Does that mean that you think I should 'succumb to a malignant disease' too?

Like the author of that article, it taught me so much to be so immoral; namely, that I didn't want to be that person, and now I am not.

You have to learn what you're not, before you can learn what you are, IMO.

I really don't see the problem. I mean yeah, it's preferable to NOT do this. And she does sound like a bit of a bitch. But she has had 3 boyfriends and each affair ended each relationship.

If my girlfriend said "I've been thinking of fucking our neighbor and I don't enjoy sex with you anymore" it would be just as painful as "I slept with our neighbor last week and realized this isn't working out."

Getting cheated on sucks.  I have zero respect for cheaters.  Having grown up in a family and what was left of that family that never did stay together.

Having seen my stepdad and mom during their breakups and the slumming my Dad did made me not want any of that.  Sure, the booze or what not I didn't distance from...but the sex drama is something I cannot stand.

My one sex partner was a slut who didn't respect herself and still doesn't nor respect anyone else.  Her relationships start with respect and meaning, then who she is rears it's ugly face.

So I never got back on dating.  It's a horrible way to find out who people really are.  Plus I don't see myself being a parent or getting married.  My situation is very difficult to just transition into another form.
