Over heating
    #26100313 -

So my closet is getting up to 82°f. How do I cool it down. Cause if the monos make their own heat too then it's hot in there.
What can I use to put in closet to drop temp. Plz and thank you for the help.

Well that's about as hot as you qant it to be. What is your AC set to? Open the closet door and lower your room temp.

So ac is at 69-70. I'm afraid the AC will pump out mold spores and fuck my shit up. It's a window unit. My upstairs don't have any duct work to it at all. So no heat or AC. So window units up there and running constantly. I'll open my closet and hope for best I guess ?

Mold spores are everywhere to begin with. Open the door and it should be fine.

Agree'd. Once your working with material in a tub then it already HAS to be at a point in its life where it can fight and kill off any competition.

Focus on cooling it down a bit... if your measuring 82 theres a chance you may be missing some peak temps... I've found my contam rates go up once I hit the 80's. Although many report having more success at 82ish, I just personally avoid it because as you states the tubs make their own heat. Also if you did not already consider this then friendly reminder that ambient air OUTSIDE the tubs will be several degrees cooler than IN the tubs, and the air IN the tub is several degrees cooler than the middle of the substrate itself.

Ironically, higher temps make you more susceptible to contamination. So in order to reduce contam chance right now, given what I know of your situation, the best bet is to get the area cooled a bit as opposed to worrying about contaminants wafting in as a healthy mycellium will kill the competitors anyways
