What mushrooms are these? (URGENT)
    #26098129 - 07/09/19 12:55 PM (4 years, 8 months ago)

Edit:boys i think these are liberty caps and i found the end of the rainbow i hope im right let me know because im only speculating.

Habitat:
Wooded pasture

Stem:
Few inches, thin dark brown

Cap:
More like a cone, with a darker color to them but still lightish

Didnt pick them or get a spore print because i have to leave for work soon and only had one bag with other psilocybin cubensis, didnt want to cross contaminate.

I have to leave for work soon which is why this is urgent however i didnt wat to miss up an opportunity on something possibly amazing.

Side note, last year i found no psilocybin cubensis in my location, the prior year however i did. It rained the past two days basically so i decided to check again and found these and a few cubensis. I havent seen these before but theyre also growing from manure so im very curious. Thank you!

Also about thirty feet away in dirt in the sun no tree coverage i found these, think they are cubensis, some look it but others dont(maybe a wood shroom?) and theres alot of them, let me know please and thanks

Also i found these, they look like cubensis that have dried up or havent sprouted yet? let me know your opinion so if i should leave them or not.

I am pretty sure Psilocybe semilanceata does not grow in Florida and does not grow directly from dung, so they are not liberty caps - don’t quote me on that though.

None of your mushrooms are active. In Florida your two main target species are Panaeolus cyanescens and Psilocybe cubensis. Luckily enough they both grow in the same type of habitat. You won't find Liberty caps in Florida, they prefer colder climates. There are other species but they're mostly quite rare or not as active, so you're better off learning those two species I mentioned well, and concentrating your efforts on those.

Welll shiiiit, i have some cubensis as well, those are easy gor me to spot by now.

Brings me to another question though, since i had to goto work i put them all in a bag, each genus is in theie own plastic bag inside a bigger bag, think that swim should still dehydrated and consume them? Or have been too close to the others?

A couple of points...
1. Do not consume any of these! The first ones could be Conocybe, I would need to see the gills to verify, but these could be toxic. In any case they are definitely not active, and not something that would be considered as a worthwhile edible. The second ones I'm not sure what they are, I would need to see more close up images of the cap, stem and gills, but they don't look like any active species.

2. Do not store any fresh mushrooms in a plastic bag. They will rot very quickly especially in hot weather. Put them in a paper bag, and then either put them in a fridge as soon as you can, or, after carefully identifying them dry them until they are cracker dry and store them in glass jars preferably with some kind of desiccant.

Edit: sorry, I only just watched the video, and the ones in the video are definitely Conocybe.

Conocybe is what is growing in the dung, they are toxic. The specimens on the ground look like Agrocybe pediades. It is very important to include close up shots of the cap, gills and stem including the stem base. They are important parts of the identification process, in situ photos are also helpful and what helped me to identify your observations today.
