I found this earlier today in the cow field growing at the base of a palm tree. I saw some bruising on the gills shortly after I picked it as I tried to show in one of the photos, but it weirdly turned brown the next time I looked at it. Unfortunately this was the only specimen I could find the whole time. Spore print on the way.

Oh okay wow that fooled me, so the blue staining is likely the same as the blue staining boletes than?

Thanks for the help, I’ve been specifically looking for gyms lately as well. Just my luck to find a gilled blue staining bolete I’ve never heard of or seen before.

They grow around my fence line and under the silk fencing in red clay quite a bit I've took it upon myself to try a few of the younger specimens I have found not the best but not the worst either on finding your first gilled bolete I thought the same at first when I found them as i keep my eyes open for gyms as well...

I read somewhere that stated they are good, wikipedia say they have a nutty flavor, I've never seen any prime specimens.
