Gymnopolis purperatis???

Habitat: Australia, Adelaide hills, private property. 100+ year old ferns, plenty of bracken fern and gums. Wood debris all around. Kangaroo dung is around. Around Mylor/Aldgate.

Gills are a medium/light brown colour.

Stems are 2-4cm. Quite thick, reasonably firm. Hollow in the middle.

Caps are 2-4 cm in diameter. Quite firm/rubbery, very distinctive blue caps with possible blue bruising on the edges, but no obvious blue bruising on the stems. Reasonably conical. Nipple in the middle. They feel similar to p.subagerurinosa.

No spore print yet. Smell very mushroomy, quite pungent aroma. Pics to follow.
