mycelium looks yellow and seems inactive

What is the case wenn mycelium has turned yellow and looks like it isn't growing or is growing very slowly? in the mush bag it was already partly yellow.
Now (3 days ago) I prepared my cake with this mycelium but it looks inactive. :confused:
