First grow questions

So its been like 9 months since ive been here, and my lasts posts where about now its too cold and I can't grow. well now I can grow and all my supplies and spores will be here sometime next week (just waiting on spores. my brf/verm iscoming in the mail tomorrow)

But there is where im at with my planning. I have a SGFC with all the dots made but I didn't drill holes due to not having any bits. I am doing the PF TEK and eventually I want to do monotubs so I can get bulk grows. I read how you can do BRF cakes to montubs and I was thinking should I do that? is it any harder like do I need to build skill in the PF and then move to a monotub? or should I just make the tub a SGFC and go the full PF TEK way

Also another worry I have is the PC I bought (2 of them since it was more 70% off) is a 8 quart insignia electric PC. The reason I need it to be electric is well I rent with people and I do not want them all to ask what im doing and try to get free shrooms out of me, ill share but they are greedy) but anyways will this PC work to serialize the jars? I read online and people said just to cook them longer.

any advice would be appreciated

I have used an electric PC for BRF cakes with success. 90-120mins. I had some contam issues but believe those were due to dirty syringes.
I would stick to PF Tek at least for a few runs. It will make the learning curve easier. Better to lose 1 jar than 1 tub.
If you want to spawn cakes to monotubs, the process is the same until you either move them to fruit, or crumble them to colonize again in the tub so you don't have to decide right now.
If you can't get drill bits, try heating up a screw or bolt of the size hole you need and melting it through the tub.

I shred BRF cakes to shoeboxes, do a search for shoeboxes you will find a lot of info, pretty easy and noob friendly

you could do a bigger tub like a mono, but then you risk a lot of cakes in one tub IMHO and if contam comes along you will lose a lot of your project in one whack

shoeboxes lets you spread the risk out a bit to several containers so no matter what crazy contam shit happens, it is likely you will still grow some mushrooms in one of them

also cakes fruited as cakes are easy and reliable once you have done a few, but I have never used a SGFC so can't comment on that, I use a unmodded box with lid flipped and soaked coir as the wetness agent and the cakes on jar lids so they are not touching the coir. Search humidity chamber tek or something along those lines IIRC

what do you mean by flipped lid? like instead of latching the lid you just put it upside down on top the bin?
